Sound of the drums
Beatin' in my heart
The thunder of guns!
Tore me apart
You've been...
Fine, I have to reply now don't I? It was never a matter of not having a counter argument, more that it would be wasted on you, but if you insist...
"You mean your side?"
See what I mean about your ability to bend the context of a sentence to suit your need? At first glance you would think it's a witty retort but on closer inspection what it actually boils down to is...
"I'm rubber you are glue"
I agree with you and the droid with this one, can't wait to read that blog.
The gaming industry has grown so much over the last decade that there is room for 3 consoles to, not only stay afloat but do fantastically well, despite the competitive nature of their audience.
@Gamingdroid
You always paint a pretty picture of Microsoft, I admire your command of English and your ability to manipulate the context of any given situation. However if you don't look at things from 'the other side of the fence' every now and again your agenda becomes apparent. Although, the nice use of a 'disclaimer' sentence at the end of your comments really throws people off your scent.
I won't reply to any further comment of ...
A rough average estimate given that PS3 has closed the gap from 9 million to under 3 million in 5 years would be...
...PS3 outselling Xbox360 worldwide by 1.2 million units every year.
Considering Xbox has sold an estimated 55m altogether and PS3 roughly 52m, you could say that since the PS3 was released it has sold 1.196 consoles for every xbox sold in the world.
I don't care about 'teh salez' I just like making pointless stats :...
I never question his reason for leaving, I just expressed a concern for the future of the game and the studio. Considering what happened to Rare it wasn't completely unfounded was it?
How many guys would it take before I should start to be concerned?
Actually my first reaction to the news was that of indifference but I tend to over-think things and I guess pessimism got the better of me and for that I apologise.
Sorry this is completely off topic but your avatar is hilarious :D
"I've lost the bleeps, the sweeps and the creeps"
LMAO!
slightly more on topic: Xbox is more popular in the states, why do we need another flamebait article to tell us this again? Don't bite and don't click the link people or they have successfully manipulated you.
I hear that!
I'm hoping that it arrives a couple of days early like my Deus Ex: Augmented edition did ^_^
Sounds impressive, although I might have gone with the one HD 6970 2Gb instead with an eye to add another when games start coming that demanded it.
Also was it cheaper/more efficient to go with 3 bits of 2g ram instead of, say, 2x4g?
Either way have fun with your new rig :)
Congratulations, that's amazing. There's so much hate for 3D around it's hard to imagine someone using it to create such a positive effect on their lives.
Thanks for proving that, even though the hate from people who feel neglected because they can't view/afford the technology is overly vocal, good things can come of it.
Hate to agree with "teh bias!!!!" but...
A lot of the UK's gaming media is embarrassingly biased, EDGE magazine and the Metro are among the top offenders.
http://edgevsmeta.blogspot....
The majority of UK gamers are Xbox owners and, sometimes, it reflects in the opinions of the media.
A lot of the hate COD receives stems from the opinion that it is not necessarily a bad game but very much overrated. It's perceived as the premier FPS game of the generation based, in the majority of cases, almost entirely on its popularity.
If Justin Bieber has taught us anything, it's that popularity is not reflective of intrinsic quality. Again, I'm not saying COD is a bad game, just that those 'in the know' feel its success is a terrible injustice co...
There goes some of 343s ex-Kojima talent, let's hope they can hang on to the ex-Bungie staff too or Halo 4 could suffer. I would hate to see all the talent jump ship, like what happened with Rare.
Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception, Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, Resistance 3, Batman: Arkham City, Metal Gear HD collection and Ico/Shadow of the Colossus will definitely be be at least on par with those great titles IMO.
There's also contenders in Rage, Battlefield 3, Dark Souls, Dead Island and Assassins Creed: Revelations.
Looking at games through the lens of a single platform ruins the experience for yourself only.
Hip hop gamer looks different, did he get a new haircut?
Ah, now I feel bad for giving you a hard time about it, not many writers take my (somewhat sharp) criticism well.
I understand it's your opinion but my problem was mainly that, it would seem, you haven't really given the game enough of a chance to be voicing a useful insight.
The downgrade in resolution is true enough though and it's something I'm dissapointed in myself, however I've never seen resistance as a graphical showcase but more l...
edit: dammit you stealth edited ¬_¬ gamegurus original comment read, "No PS3 exclusive on the list? That's a shame!!"
A lot of PS3 exclusive games already have sequels announced or have only just released/releasing a game in the series this year.
I would like to see another sequel to God of War, actually more of a spiritual successor, based around ancient Egyptian mythology. My most anticipated PS3 exclusive sequel would definitely be...
They have been constantly improving the hardware ever since it launched. It has gone from unreliable, noisy, bulky and wifi-less to slim, reliable and quieter with built in wireless N.
I'm sure there's always room for another revision say... a slot loaded blu-ray drive that doesn't eat disks if you knock your console? Or, even better, compatibility with non-proprietary HDDs.
I agree that it's still too early to jump into completely new hardwa...
