I agree, incredibly biased article, their comment on using Move/sharpshooter with Killzone/socom destroyed their rep for me. I thoroughly enjoyed a much more immersive and interesting experience using Move in Killzone. I cannot overstate the tactile value of holding an actual gun shaped object and pulling an actual trigger, just so satisfying!
IMO one of the most underrated shooter series of this gen. It has some of the most imaginative and fun weapons in any fps: Spine grenades, Auger, Magnum with remote detonated bullets etc. Sure, the second one lost some of the atmosphere and gameplay elements of the first but I don't think it deserved to be written off the way it was by a lot of gamers.
Resistance 3 seems to fix every issue people had with the second one and I know from playing the beta that the multi-pl...
Burnout Paradise was one of my most satisfying Plats, not sure why, guess I just put a lot of quality time in with it. Also inFamous, finding those last few blast shards and hearing that platinum ping was pure satisfying victory!
Thanks very much :) Helpful bubs+
Looks a lot like the Android keyboard as kind of expected, which is a good thing I'm used to it from my phone.
I would like to know what the onscreen keyboard looks like and how it performs. With PSV being quite a social device I'm guessing the keyboard will get a good bit of use.
I don't see that at all, could you explain?
Looks more like an advanced phone ui to me, icons at the top are 'pages', swipe left and right to change 'page' or tap the quick link icon.
I wonder if there's an app icon 'bank' like Android that you can use to customize what you see on each page.
This game looks awesome, why has no one ever thought to make a game about robbing banks before? Unless I missed one?
edit: @Dart89 lol yeah you just know it's gonna happen. In fact I think The Sun and The News Of The World have fear mongering articles all written up in preparation :P
I'm not sure how my original comment here can be taken as a negative, unless you think of kinect as a negative connotation yourself?
Also what part of my comment history would suggest I don't own a 360?
Glad to know you care enough to go through my history though; try not too be so sensitive in the future, it's a dead giveaway, that and your one bubble.
Last one to the ferris wheel is Adam West!
OT: The open environments look great, and grappling/gliding looks very intuitive.
It definitely sounds 'Kinect'.
I heard the chip will be made using 2nd generation remote reticulated organic diodes...
*waits for people to get it and undeservedly bows*
... a thankyoo.

edit: Oh god, forgot what site I was on, just a joke; please don't burn down my internets.
Nice write up, I found it a bit strange that you were looking for emotion on human player faces during a multi-player match though, not sure what you were expecting?
Also you can definitely shoot through walls with the Auger killstreak, got a few cheap kills like that myself ;P
I thought that at first but after a few hours playing it seems just right. I would guess that it takes about a 70% hit ratio of a full clip (carbine) before people go down which means that you have to be accurate. This is offset with fantastic moments of panic reload-grenading and melee attempts which keeps the gameplay from becoming too COD-style run and gun.
Don't know why someone disagreed with that, it's one of the two problems that have been holding the Playstation 3 back: price and complicated development environment. They have fixed the former but the latter requires new hardware and, if PSV is an indication of the approach Sony is taking, it does indeed bode well for PS4.
Losing an entire region is pretty serious stuff and, like the article states, next gen they will be fighting against retailer perceptions of the brand.
Will there ever be a successful xbox in Japan?
Most console games have to greatly sacrifice graphics in order to achieve this frame-rate target, with Gran Turismo 5 and Rage as exceptions.
My reason for believing this may be true lies in one simple hardware feature...
...the dual analogue sticks.
No hand-held gaming device, that I know of, has ever had this simple but indispensable attribute. It will make playing games familiar to anyone who has played a console and, when combined with touch screens, will provide a deep input system for great user experiences.
How many times are we going to have this dumb question repeated on N4G?
"Will iphone/ipad/mobile phones/farmville/potatoes/tick le-me-elmo (delete as appropriate) kill console gaming?"
Lol beat me to it :)
It's kind of bad when an editor let's something with such a glaring typo in the title get published, assuming this site actually HAS an editor.
This actually looks like a lot of fun. Reminds me of the sword chopping game on the Wii but more complex.
