i used to game on consoles up until the snes days.
around 94 i got my first pc.. after which i never looked back. There just is no comparison between a pc and a console.
I gave ps2 a chance when it released i was dissapointed.. the only game i liked on it was gt3 thats about it. i was back to pc gaming.
laptops are not for gaming.
and unless you get one from companies like sager or alienware you will be dissapointed.
if you do have a desktop which is even 2 years old a 150usd gpu upgrade will run all current gen games better then any console and will continue to do so till the end of the gen.
hence a gpu upgrade for a desktop is a very cost effective way to game, since pc games are cheaper then console games.
plus you get all the ot...
agreed drm only is a nuisance for the real buyer.
pirates will pirate the game regardless.
cant wait for this game.. will rock on my pc.
alienware is really overpriced.
one of the companies responsible for giving pc gaming a bad image.
anyone could make a pc that out does alienware's best for roughtly a 1/3rd the price.
i could make a rig for 1500usd.. that would give alienwars 4000+usd system a run for its money.
microsoft should just cut their losses and quit.
no point milking their fan base and making losses while they are at it.

cause from what i am aware even a 100usd gpu will make games look better then the ps3 or the 360 :P
consoles being cheaper then pc is a myth.. price of console games alone makes console more costly, not to mention charges to go online expensive accessories etc.
this game just keeps getting better.

comparing this to an xbox are we? its like comparing a ferrari against a kia.
even a 100usd gpu outperforms xbox now. so yea if you wanna stay in the past and pay high prices for your gaming then sure stay with the xbox.

this beast does near 55fps (65 when OC) on crysis warhead @ 1920*1200 4xaa everything being maxxed out.
considering my 4870x2 manages 30fps.. thats a pretty good jump.
this cards insane.. i am waiting on supplies to get here.
uncharted is not 1080p
its 720p.
it gets scaled to 1080p by your tv.. its not truely rendered at 1080p by the ps3.. and look at all the jaggies uncharted 2 has when running on a 1080p tv showing ps3 hardly does any AA on it.
there are about 300 titles out ont he ps3 now.. only about 20 of them do 1080p. thats less then 10% and those titles dont really push the hardware to its limits.
if the gpu on the ps3 was so capable which it is ...
ps3 runs mw2 @ 600p
i bet a 7900gtx could do the same.
now try push a 7900gtx to 1080p on most current games and watch it stutter. same happens with the ps3. which is why any good looking game on the ps3 doesnt do 1080p 7900gtx just cant handle it be it the pc versioni or the ps3 version its old hardware.
the only way they are making the consoles run current games is by lowering resolutions.

true games hardly take advantage of quad core.
intel/amd/nvidia need to work with developers make them utilise the cpu/gpu give us better games.
something like what amd did with dirt2.
problem with larrabee.. is that even the current high end setups from the pc market.
the cpu only gets about 25gb's memory bandwidth from the onboard ram(this being the case with an I7 with its tripple channel bandwitdth)now imagine sharing that with a resource hungry gpu...
a modern day gpu today gets about 125gb/s.
if larrabee is supposed to even reach todays standard.. it will need 5x the memory bandwidth currently available. now lets go few yea...
i9 will be old by the time ps4 comes out... so will the g300.
then why does the ps3 ship with a 78XX gpu.. which is 3years old..
imo they should upgrade that to a gt300 or 5000 series from amd.

naa its a single player rpg. though its 60hours already and alot of fun so many choices to make.
configuring the AI npcs on the pc version is awesome (dont know if consoles do that).
anyways this game is my candidate for GOTY.
