Iwata is oblivious, yet the 3DS has been the best selling gaming device in Japan for how long now? While it has been selling well in America, from what Nintendo has been saying, it still isn't doing as well as they'd want it to in the West.
Don't get why we can't put petty fanboyism aside and just enjoy video games. Seriously, console wars are the equivalent of kids in the playground arguing over who has the better toy.

Love Naughty Dog, love what I've seen of the game so far, love the box art as well. Would've bought it regardless, but it's good that they choose to emphasise characters they obviously worked really hard on making.
I'm not disappointed at all. Wasn't really expecting much in the first place since the whole The World Ends With You countdown. Square Enix really needs to learn how to use their countdowns more wisely.

I somewhat expected this. Still I know that top tier devs like Naughty Dog, Guerrilla Games, Media Molecule, 343, Retro Studios, Monolithsoft, From Software etc will be able to put out amazing looking games since they seem to know how to get the most out of the hardware they develop for.

Wii version doesn't have dynamic shadowing and also doesn't run at 60fps. MH3U also has better lighting. Other than that, yeah there isn't much difference. This is an HD port of a 3DS game so you shouldn't have expected much in the first place. I'll still buy it once I get my Wii U in hopes that Capcom will bring over MH4.
Vita had similar sales then fell off a cliff in the weeks after. Launch numbers are no indication of how a system will do in the future.

Alright let me just get one thing straight right away. In Japan the game is called "Monster Hunter 3G" on 3DS and "Monster Hunter 3G HD Version" on Wii U. In America and Europe the game is called "Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate" for both Wii U and 3DS versions.
Monster Hunter 3G for 3DS was released in Japan in December 2011. So chances are, anyone who wanted the 3DS version has already bought it. Also the the Wii U and 3DS ...
I wish it didn't happen to the Vita though. It's a great handheld that's losing support from developers due to it's low sales. A price cut may be what Sony has to resort to, similar to what Nintendo had to do with the 3DS.
