I dunno, I mean it takes more than power to determine a console's longevity. Remember how long the PS2(the weakest of the 6th gen) stayed in production for? The games made for the Wii U will decide the it's lifespan more than it's power.
Reiews for this game are probabaly the most polarizing I have ever seen, EVER. Seriously, one minute I'm seeing 1/10 reviews the next I'm seeing 9/10. I'll definitely keep track of this game just to see how much more divisive these reactions are going to be.
Whether you like it or not, Wii U is going to be part of the next generation. Same way the Wii was apart of this generation. The only way we can say that the Wii U isn't part of the next gen is if everyone including Nintendo stopped making games for it the minute that the next Playstation and Xbox come out, and production of the Wii U is ceased.
Kind of like what happened with the Dreamcast.
Despite being a pretty big leap over previous consoles with ...
Hey, I'm looking forward to Last Light and Metro: 2033 was actually a really good game. It also looked AMAZING on PC when it came out and it still does. Try to find a video of it with maxed out settings, it looks incredible. But I do think that they could make the game run on Wii U and look really good if they had the time, but the game has been delayed enough as it is already and adding another platform could further increase that delay.
Eh, I was gonna play Last Light on my PC anyway. I expect to get my Wii U next year and my PS4 whenever that comes out. As always, fanboys can suck it.
But if you pre-ordered, wouldn't you have gotten it already? Seeing that the console was released 2 days ago and all. I never pre ordered a console before so if you could explain how that works, I'd appreciate it.
Sadly this sort of behavior is not going anywhere anytime soon. The thing is, I don't have a problem with all fanboys, if your absolutely crazy for Nintendo or Sony, then feel free to love em all you want, there's nothing wrong with that. What I do have a problem with is fanboys that feel the need to bash on each other and their preferences like kids in a playground arguing over who has the better toy.
The sad part is that we all grew up playing video games and we all...
Well to be fair, I wouldn't call ANY console launch perfect. They've pretty much all had problems, but they always get better over time. I'm getting a Wii U, most likely very early next year, same way I'm getting a PS4 whenever that releases. Fanboys can suck it.
Reviews are SO freaking mixed for this game.
Wow, reviews are just all over the place on this one.
@Fishy Fingers
You're replying to AnotherWorld and not to me right, I didn't say anything about PSN's cap being okay, frankly I think it's crap too.
@AnotherWorld
Seeing that PSN has a bigger install base than Wii U shouldn't that make it even more obvious that the friend limit should be higher? I don't really see your logic there.
Um yeah, forgot to mention this earlier but last time I checked PSN's friend limit was also 100. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
Man I was really hoping they wouldn't do this. It's the same as the 3DS. The Wii U doesn't have the memory limitations of the 3DS so storing as many friends as I want shouldn't be impossible. This is especially bad since Nintendo is trying make Miiverse like a social network. A social network doesn't make me limit the amount of friends I have. Can't say that I'm not disappointed by this.
Hope they increase the limit in the future via an update or s...
Wish all gamers could see things this way. That's, unfortunately, just a pipe dream.
Isn't it a little soon to do this, I mean the Vita still has a good 6 years (possibly more) to expand it's library. Doing a top ten list of "current" best Vita games is okay, but doing one about the best Vita games of "All Time" when it hasn't even been out for a year seems a little premature.
And of course the negative reviews will get the most hits and the most nagging fanboys. It happened with Black Ops: Declassified, Gravity Rush anyone remember the first negative Uncharted 3 and Skyrim reviews. God those were nightmares, the comments became all out war zones all due to one individuals opinion.
All we're going to see here is people saying "HAhahahahahaha, I told you it was gonna suck, eat that Nintendrones" and "He's wrong, he's absol...
My personal picks in no particular order
The Last of Us (anyone with eyes could tell that one)
Bioshock Infinite
Rayman Legends
Pikmin 3
GTA V
Ni No Kuni
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Tomb Raider
Luigi's Mansion 2
Journey was fantastic. I'll never forget my first playthrough. Made it through the entire thing with one person, we never lost each other, it was such an amazing experience.
No, this is Patrick.
Oh I'm not saying that specs aren't important. Nintendo has to get more third party support than they had with the Wii(although the Wii does have it's fair share of third party gems), along with their first party efforts if they really want to see this thing last. I think, as with the PS3's Cell, devs will have to learn how to work with the Wii U's GPGPU in order to get the most out of it.
