I don't think Nintendo ever left at least in the eyes of folks like myself. I do however think that this Nintendo Direct was a good step for them in showing folks that they mean business with the Wii U. Do I think that this would make folks who had no intention of getting a Wii U change their minds about the system? Well mostly no, but it was a damn good first step on the road to doing that, if they can keep up with stuff like this, I think they may just get back some gamers yet.

Agreed. It's a completely ridiculous statement.

That's not all they announced and you know it.

The Last of Us has naysayers?!
Show me where these fools are, I'll deal with them!

Seriously though this year is going to be amazing no matter what you game on. I think I'll remember 2013 quite fondly.

"Too little too late"

The system is two freaking months old. And that particular Nintendo Direct was made to show Nintendo's first party games and partnerships, the intention was not to show third party games. And Iwata pretty much apologized about the lack of first party titles for January and February on the Wii U, I don't see them trying to veil the truth there.

Does that make their situation any better, nope. The Wii U is struggling in f...

@Ezz2013

OMFG what the hell is wrong with me?!! Dammit too late to edit! Sorry bro, I let ya down. I left out a lot to be honest, there's SO much good stuff coming out this year I don't think one comment could contain them all. Let me make it up to ya

"God of War Ascension: chadboban is An Idiot For Not Mentioning It Edition"

Seriously the game looks amazing, but it is God of War, don't see how we could expect anything l...

Definitely one of my most anticipated titles this year and that's really saying something seeing that this year is already looking incredible.

It seems like no matter what systems you game on, you have something to look forward to. Fire Emblem, Bioshock Infinite, Rayman Legends, The Wonderful 101, Monster Hunter, Beyond: Two Souls, Ni No Kuni, Sly 4 not mention the possibilities of games like The Last Guardian, Monolithsoft's Wii U game, Retro Studios' new Wii U ...

Well with it looking more and more like Sony and Microsoft will be revealing their new consoles at e3 and considering Nintendo's conference always takes place after theirs, Nintendo is gonna have to come pretty hard to beat them.

I'm damn excited to see what Retro is working on, we've been getting teased for so long by them, I think this e3 would be perfect for a reveal. I'm actually excited to see what all 3 of them come with. This year's E3 is gonna be ...

Then... more games I guess, it's kinda hard to know a system's entire lineup years in advance.

I'll enjoy my PS4 and Wii U when I get them, once you enjoy what you're playing, that's really all that matters.

The fact that you got disagrees makes me lose faith in the type of gamers we have today.

Xenoblade is their franchise though, Monolithsoft are 100% owned by Nintendo. You can just take at that look here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

"As of May 6, 2007, Nintendo owns controlling interest in the company after Namco Bandai sold 80% of its 96% stake in Monolith Soft to Nintendo. This went into effect May 1, 2007. Later Namco sold the remaining 16%, making Monolith Soft a firs...

Well once again it only takes all of two seconds to forget anything new Nintendo announced. Apparently once Zelda and Mario get mentioned games nice looking games like The Wonderful 101 and Monolith's new game (we still don't know for sure if it's Xenoblade 2 like everyone says) don't exist.

It's pretty clear from the comments I'm reading that even if Nintendo does try and support new IPs their efforts are ignored as once Zelda or Mario are there peopl...

It was on the North American Nintendo Direct, the trailer is on Nintendo of America's official youtube page, and the Japanese trailer had the credits in Japanese while the one shown here they are english. I think we'll get the game here.

Thanks for being a good gamer, and not a console fanboy. And I agree, JRPGs are making a comeback but it's up to us to purchase the games if we want to see them succeed.

@Ezz2013

What the hell man, I don't see why people thinking that a Wii U game looks good bothers you so much that you need to point out every graphical flaw you could find in what is obviously a pre-alpha build of the game.

The fact that you have several gifs and pictures prepared just to show flaws screams obssessed fanboy. I mean did you just go over the trailer with a fine tooth comb until you could find every flaw possible. I think the game looks ...

Oh you mean like most console launches ever, right? The thing's two months old. The Wii U and Vita will be just fine, once their libraries expand giving people more reasons to buy them.

What happened to your Miku account?

4760d ago 23 agree4 disagreeView comment

Well, there was an HD version of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd for the PS3 but it was Japan only and from what I've heard, one of the main reasons why it along with it's PSP version are not coming stateside is Sony themselves.

Every system launch is like this, fanboys will always see it as the ultimate chance to attack the system when it's at it weakest, basically when it's a, how should a put this... "newborn". Yeah that's pretty much how I'll describe a system launch, fanboys are sort of using the chance to beat on a newborn baby because it hasn't really had a chance to grow.

Note, I'm not saying consoles are actual children.

It was the same with the PS3, the 3DS and the Vita. Give the damn thing some time to get some more games, the thing just turned two months old and people are already saying there is a crisis. Seems system launches are never gonna change...
