Just beat this game yesterday and it is definitely one of my favorite games of 2012. Some of the reveals left my jaw on the floor, the writing is absolutely top notch and the excellent voice acting (both English and Japanese) only complements it. Well I should've expected as much from the folks who made one of my all time favorite games 999.

Looking forward to see what Nintendo can bring in 2013. Haven't purchased a Wii U yet, will most likely get one along with a Vita this year. The announced games I'm currently looking forward to on Wii U are Wonderful 101, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends and Bayonetta 2.
Cool to see Xenoblade and Kid Icarus get some recognition. Some of my favorite games last year along with Journey, The Walking Dead and Virtue's Last Reward(which I literllay finished just a few minutes ago) just to name a few.
If it is THE best ever is all a matter of your taste in video games. For me it is definitely among the very best. Such a varied library of games. There was definitely something for everyone.
I love all my systems , but the PS2 will always be very special to me. I still have mines to this very day.
Kid Icarus and Resident Evil: Revelations deserve a spot on that list way more than New Super Mario Bros 2. Also I think Ragnarock Odyssey and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask deserved spots as well.
Man, what a great year for handheld gaming. And 2013 is already looking up with Fire Emblem, Luigi's Mansion, Tearaway, Bravely Default(hoping for a localization on this one) and so much more.
Same reason I still play my PS2 bro, some of those games are still fantastic despite being "old".

I believe it was confirmed to be coming to the west but we weren't given a release date as yet.
Well it was one of the best games I've played this year. I'm not a guy that takes GOTY awards all that seriously because at the end of the day, those awards won't change what I've played and what I've liked this year. If I liked the game, whether it wins any awards or not doesn't change the fact I enjoyed it.

There was a good RE game this year. It's called Resident Evil Revelations. More like that please Capcom.
That being said I'm excited as hell for Shinji Mikami's Project Zwei. I've heard that the art director is the same as the one who did the REmake on the gamecube and that's one of my all time favorite games.
I agree Nintendo needs to fix this. The Wii U shouldn't have to go into a "Wii Mode" at all to do anything. Everything should be completely accessible from the Wii U's OS including virtual console games. Also support should be added for the Wii U Pro Controller for virtual console and wii games as well. I know the chances of this happening are slim but I think it's something Nintendo should look into. But hey, it's at least better than having no backwards compatibili...
Oh man dude, that game is just incredible. I still haven't gotten my hands on Virtue's Last Reward but I've only heard great things. I have to pick it up as soon as I can.

If it's put in the hands of competent developers I say hell yes. But if they're just gonna half ass it I say don't bother. I don't need one of my favorite games ruined by developers who won't put their heart into it, the way the makers of the first one did.
