@ Death: False (as an Indie myself, I can tell you there's more to it). Each of these devs are just like they were in the past. You just have some who've committed to a publisher (such as Quantic Dream) and others who haven't.
Not much difference at all.
Good thing the majority of what they put out is worthy of gamer attention. Shame you'll never own a PlayStation to understand that, though.
Noted.
OT: I could go for a new Darkstalkers. LOVE that series.
@ Krosis: Thus, you had nothing of substance to add, except that you, too, haven't a clue. Nice.
You sound completely clueless. "It's $399.99 because there are no worthy games."
Step away from your PC and don't continue to post here, as it will be nothing but further embarrassment.
"I fear PS4 has nothing to offer". Wasn't this some of the same nonsense spewed about the PS3? How did that turn out?
Yes, writer, you are full of it.
And the issue is? Indie developers have always been the bread-and-butter of Sony's support. What do you think Naughty Dog and Guerrilla Games, for example, were before becoming subsidiaries of SCEi?
Care to explain? How big time? In fact, how at all? How many does each have ready for launch?
Exclusives keep a console healthy. It's clear you're having trouble understanding the basics of business.
Thankfully, whether two-years-old or not, Sony knows the importance of exclusive titles and they will remain that way on their machine(s).
Tell us, since all you've done is piggyback others' opinions, what makes fact-giving ridiculous? Why compare high-end PC footage to year later, weaker console footage and claim the comparison to be reasonable when speaking of lesser visuals? OF COURSE the better-speced machine will offer better results.
@ wishing: I'd advise you to look up "spin".
Great spin, there, but you can't claim a crown based solely on software (and really, what do those numbers mean when the more expensive, late comer STILL outsold your greatest effort)?
The crown rests with the Wii for the 7th gen. The PS3 is the only console with potential to outsell it, but at the very least, it's no longer in last place.
The losing console has never been considered the victor, in any case. The 360 is no different.
You left out the lovely part where they also mention, pretty common knowledge, that the demo running last year was on high-end PCs.
Edit: Disagreeing with fact doesn't make it wrong. :)
Which the PS4 won't be lacking, either.
No, we don't. He never specifies what he's comparing this version to.
Nope, because it's not coming out on PS4 (and wouldn't look better even if it was).
Then why are you in a STEAM topic?
Sony has always had a 10+ year plan for their consoles. So far, it has yet to fail them. Besides, 10 years doesn't mean no successor for the entirety of that time period (again, something that has yet to fail Sony).
OT: I prefer a new gen every 5-6 years, myself. This way, I don't feel burnt out of the previous gen while still being stoked for what's new. The 360 and PS3 have gone too long without successors.
If you're a fan of the franchise, why would it matter if it's exclusive or not?
Which according to Sony, it HAS already sold 3.4 million. Not that it matters, because Naughty Dog's games aren't that high of budget, so they're pure profit from the outset.
