How are they even comparable, outside of perspective?
You're quite misguided in your thoughts, it seems. 12GB of RAM still wouldn't be enough to "kill off" the PS4. Unfortunately for you, though, it was a rumor that will never come to pass.
OT: An improvement to architecture is never a bad thing. The more competitive the X-One is, the better way it paves for competition, and in the process, for the gamers!
@ dcj0524: Then prepare for major disappointment. BF4 and Planetside 2 have nothing in common. In fact, the stress of both engines are worlds apart.
You expect next gen consoles to run it like a high-end PC can run it?
Silly viewpoint, I think. It's like for some, they're damned @ $600 and damned @ $400.
No, we know nothing for certain, but this will be a very different gen for PlayStation! That much IS a certainty, and the entry price will be one of its biggest helpers.
I wouldn't say I'm concerned, but I was a tad disappointed when I first heard this. That said, if there's any team that I put 100% faith in regarding PlayStation tech, it's these guys!
Reminds me of the movie, The Descent.
Thank goodness others see this news and appreciate it. What doesn't work for you =/= the world should agree to it.
There's no way you ran Crysis 3 or Tomb Raider, OR Skyrim, in Ultra, on a GTX 280, in HD, with no trouble. Just no way.
Sure, if you're narrow-minded.
Help us understand why this is relevant.
@ Jimmy: It's pretty clear you don't know what you're talking about. "Sony is almost dead broke". Uh.....no, they aren't.
Since this is just you, it's not a universal feeling (and with more favoring the PS4, right now, you're even more in the minority).
Can you prove any of this?
Yup, we do, our credit cards were never affected. Thanks for pointing that out. :)
OT: I pre-ordered mine the day after E3, thinking they'd be short stocked. Well, I'll be...
You're a person of reason. Not everyone shares that trait. ;)
Project Cars won't be out until late 2014. Hardly worth mentioning against a 2013, next gen console launch title.
For me, it's THE Game of 2009. Yes it still holds up. There'd be no The Last Of Us without a particular mission from it, in fact.
The Uncharted series clocks in a measly 20 million. Research, my friend, it helps.
As for The Last Of Us, it DEFINITELY isn't anywhere close to 100 million. If I'm wrong, though, show me the source.
Their Gaming Division, is doing, and will be, fine.
