Exactly. The boxes have to stand out on retail shelves for marketing purposes.
Although I will be buying the digital version of games.
This is Australian - it will likely be $299 - $399 USD
I'm undecided so far whether I like it or not. I don't have Kinect so my initial impression is that it is more cumbersome than before.
With Kinect, this dashboard is likely a better experience - not enough to get me to buy Kinect though. With time, it will likely grow on me like the last dashboard did.
Like Ryo above said - casuals buy games mostly during the holidays only and Kinect appeals to the casual crowd.
Nothing surprising really.
Another Drama Queen Article - enough already.
Since updates take only a couple of minutes once a month at most - this person must only play 2 minutes a month online.
Publishers will only put a series to rest when they are no longer profitable. If gamers want a series put on hiatus then they will quit buying it.
So basically this author wants every major franchise from this generation put to bed. That sounds like a great idea for industry disaster. Just because I may be tired of game A or game B does not mean other are as well.
Sales determine when a game has overstayed its welcome.
Oh yeah it was a huge undertaking - took about 3 minutes tops to update.
Quit being a drama queen!
Klonoa 3!!!
Tomba 3!!!
Skeleton Warriors 2!!!
Loaded 3!!!
I'm done now :)
neggs gen I guess...
I can't wait to play a true platformer again! The demo was fantastic.
I wonder if this guy has ever heard of Amazon release date delivery?
Way of the Warrior Adventures with an HD remake of Way of the Warrior from the 3DO included!
@Vashlion
Your right, I should listen to advise from someone I do not know on the Internet. I'm sure that will serve me well in life.
Since Cosmit surely has me all figured out by my offhand comment I should just listen and not question anything.
Thanks for that!
I hear you :)
I miss the days of reading about games in EGM, Diehard Gamefan, and Next Generation Magazine. Sites like this have really taken some of the fun out of gaming.
It seems that Gamers are a sad, sad bunch and are only happy with made up headlines and bogus articles about the same crap instead of talking about the fun [insert game] can provide.
I agree with you 100%
Another FPS or getting lost in a game world for over 300 hours in a spectacular setting.
SKYRIM all the way!
I'm very opened minded and really don't need advice from Cosmit on N4G.
All I was saying is that unless you do not like RPGs, Skyrim will be the better game (IMO) and if you are faced with a choice of one over the other like the article suggests than you would have to be a mindless sheep to follow the crowd and choose MW3 over Skyrim.
You should play MW3 over Skyrim ONLY if you are a mindless sheep.
Day one for me!
More Uncharted goodness :)
If only the Limited Edition came with Chloe's panties :)
Even though I know the casual market is important, even imperative for the long term success of any technology, I want the casuals to stay FAR AWAY from this.
I want my hardcore games in spades and early on it looks like Sony is delivering - can't wait to get mine on Feb 22nd.
After a price drop then the casuals will come to the device.
