Indeed. Will be playing this on PC with 60fps+ and 1440p.
I do know what it means Dmarc. All the way back since trying to mod the LOD distances in Morrowind. They are quite noticable in Ryse.
Another thing that is very noticable with Ryse is the extremely short distance you can see the full poly chars, before they get downgraded to horrible LODs.
Crash Bandicoot was my favourite franchise as a kid. Jak and Daxter was one of the best franchises on PS2. I love Uncharted, some of the best games the PS3 has to offer.
And then The Last of Us, a game that has truly changed the industry.
Naughty Dog for president!
And he is hilarious, and crazy, etc. etc. He is a fantastic character, and I love every bit of Trevor. He is such a psycho, and it's epic!
I've only played the PC version, as I own it myself and am playing it on ultra. The textures are quite low-res, the character models are relatively simple, the lighting engine has barely changed. The game looks good, but static, and has absolutely nothing on this game. I am sorry, but you honestly have no idea how graphics work. Not to mention Blacklist is fairly linear, and does not contain open environments like this game.
Are you kidding? Blacklist is a good game, but the graphics are mediocre at best.
It will definitely be announced for next-gen within the coming 4 months. There is no reason what so ever to port it to PC, without also porting it to PS4 and One.
It's a good game, not great, not bad, good.
Definitely something to watch out for. But kickstarter is also great, It's giving us things like Star Citizen, which is my no. 1 most anticipated game right now.
MGS has officially lost its very essence.
Same here...
Probably should've thought of that before they named it then...
Keep in mind that they have developed the FOX engine so solve many of these problems. This game has also been in development for quite a long time.
They are not saying its using 8gb of RAM, they are saying they are taking advantage of the unified memory architechture, and the speed of the GDDR5 RAM. Besides, this game is using an insane amount of geometry physics and calculations, because all these tiny objects on screen are not made as low res texture meshes, but actual points with physics. This is kinda the same that the demo-scene has been doing for years and years, and it can really bring your hardware to its knees.
...
Great blog post, and I agree with pretty much everything you said. Removing Hayter was a big kick in the nuts to the fans imo, and I still have a really hard time understanding or accepting it. This is the first MGS that I'm not extremely hyped for. Not a day went by without me being on forums, and theorycrafting the 2 years before MGS4 release. I scoured the source codes of the promo websites for clues etc. This time around, I'm just thinking "meh, we will see..."
Real Racing for android has been doing this for a couple of years.
Edit: To whoever is disagreeing, they call it time-shifted multiplayer, and the AI in the game even has the nickname of those it imitates.
No its not. Thread performance is more significant, as it is hard to utilize as many as 8 cores, since you have to specifically program for multicores, which is difficult. Therefore a 4ghz quad core would be better for gaming than a 2ghz 8 core. However, 8 cores at low clock speed means a lot less heat and power useage.
Of course, I don't like Origin either. But saying that games on Origin are always more expensive than on Steam isn't true.
I've had about 4 characters at level 10-12, and my last one got to 18 and got deleted yesterday.
