Shadow Moses, Hyrule, Chernarus....
No, just no. The PS1 would not be capable of such a detailed scene, that sort of texture resolution, or that kind of character model. This is definitely PS2-level graphics.
What? I have owned the 780s and I hated them. There is no bass at all, no mid tones, the audio is so hollow and sharp it hurts your ears. The microphone however is superb, but the headset itself is terrible.
I will probably play WD2 Bixxel, but I am not going to be paying for it ;)
Of course, that depends if it works. I still haven't gotten past the first 2 hours in Watch Dogs, due to its unplayable performance. The stuttering gives me headaches. I've requested a refund, but Ubisoft have not replied.
I've not pirated video games the last 6 years, I bet I buy more games than most people on this site, but I am making an exception with Ubisoft titles.
Yup, it is completely unacceptable. Watch Dogs is the last Ubi game that I will ever buy.
And another guy who didn't understand a thing about MGS2... Sigh.. people are so dumb these days.
I will be pirating it first to ensure that it runs like it should, before I will even consider paying for it, I might not, since I paid for WD which has been unplayable for me, so I will consider FC4 my refund.
Luckily, after the complete and utter garbage that the WD PC version is, a lot of people are starting to agree with me.
But it is not the first Ubi game to have major issues. They deserve all the flak they are getting, and then some.
Sorry Ubisoft, you couldn't possibly make me pay for another one of your games, no matter how hard you try. Your chances are spent.
All I can say is: Microwave corridor
I would expect the consumer version to cost at least around 300 dollars at launch.
Solid always did the right thing. He fought for piece and a better world, not matter how many times he was screwed over. He was always strong enough to stick to what he knew was right. He did what Big Boss failed to acheive.
Of course, graphics are not everything. My favourite games to this date are MGS1 and Crash Bandicoot 2. It is just not what I expect frow newer titles though.
I play a lot of ARMA and DayZ, and 1440p has definitely helped my ability to spot targets in the distance.
I feel like anything less than 1440p/60fps is quite unpleasant, but I guess I'm spoiled.
It's not about the gameplay or the graphics, it is about the unplayable stuttery mess that this game is.
And there is actually a very simple reason for why it feels more responsive control vice too. More FPS = lower input lag.
You can very easily tell the difference between 60 and 120 aswell, if you have ever played with a 120hz monitor with a game at 120fps or above you would know. Our eyes are analogue, and there is no definite FPS treshold. I've heard about tests with 240hz screens aswell, and the test subjects said there was a big difference between 120 and 240fps.
I can easily estimate a game's framerate while playing. I've tested myself with PC games, holding a hand over the FPS counter, and said to myself "Now it is around 45 fps", and I am usually quite right, some games are harder than other to notice it in. When a game goes below 30fps, and down into the mid twenties, it really begins to annoy me.
I find movies and TV-shows choppy, and if I watch a movie right after playing a game at 60fps, I notice it right awa...
Unless they are planning on a locked framerate, like the NFS game, which is a terrible, terrible, terrible way to do it...
