"Because like Nintendo fanboys of old, they are bored waiting for the next great Sony exclusive to come out since those are the only games worth playing on the system."

That makes no sense. Is your logic system broken, or are you implying that the multiplatform games (appearing on the PS3 AND 360 by definition...)suck? If that was the case then people with 360's would be doing the same thing.

What the fudge are you trying to say? Was that an intentional com...

I believe the tech will work fine and it will sell off the charts.

I think the real problem is the "fun factor". I honestly don't think Natal has any real potential to be consistently fun to use in any core games. I am willing to bet that it will follow a similar trend of the Sixaxis motion controls. Maybe 3 games that use it well and the rest have stupid, tacked on and optional utilization's that people will try once and disable.

The problem with that is, ...

You'd probably just spray your tainted ejaculate all over your keyboard.

Then you'd wipe it off and troll some more. TROLL LIKE YOU'VE NEVER TROLLED BEFORE!!!

The episodic survival horror game you are thinking about is "Siren."

I think the last Silent Hill game was a PSP/PS2 release. I played about 5 minutes of it, but it was frustratingly dark. I found that more annoying than scary.

This whole thing is totally off topic, but the removal of the 'Other OS' has fukced me big time. I don't really care that Linux was removed (although I would have liked to keep it), its the fact that I have to reformat now.

I have a satellite internet connection, which is basically dial up with a download cap, so re-downloading my PSN games is basically going to take 2 months. Not that it matters because I game share, so I will lose most of them anyway. I really just want to syn...

You should actually use PSN before you comment on it.

Add games/DLC that you want to your cart, and during checkout you can charge the EXACT amount. You do not have to add in intervals.

@Shepard

There have numerous cases of developers complaining about Live pricing. Valve and the developer of Braid come to mind. MS is not powerless when determining pricing (especially if the word "free" is ever thrown around).

You know why people are worried about Natal? Name 5 implementations that a core game could use without a controller. That's why.

Even if you think Move is just a complete Wii copy, you can see the core gaming applications. Plus the fact that the Sony demo at E3 (which you think they failed at because they didn't have Elton John or something) actually showed some real gaming concepts.

But you don't see Sony devs talking about how much 360 games suck. They make games and let the product speak for them. I can't think of any Sony developer that would wear sunglasses in the dark and talk about one of his co-workers like he was nothing.

PS3 + Ubuntu = NES and SNES emulation with a Sixaxis controller

Added Bonus: The irony of playing Nintendo games on a Sony console

I would have definitley preferred it if they didn't do this. I'm a PS3 supporter, but I'm not going to pretend like this is something that I like. It may not have effected a lot of people, but it has effected me and I'm afraid what they're going to make me do with my current Linux install.

How do you use it for rendering? I can't get anything past SNES emulation to run on Linux, so I don't understand how it would be useful as a render farm.

I imagine you would need some sort of specialized program to use the unique architecture of the PS3 as well...

Anyway, all I know is I'm upset by this. I still don't know if I'm gonna have to reformat since I already have Ubuntu installed. I would lose a lot of my PSN games if that happened.

I have Linux installed at the moment...does that mean they are going to require me to format and delete all of my stuff? I don't have high speed internet, so it would take weeks to re-download all of my PSN games and add-on content (and some of my games have reached their maximum download).

Alternatively they could just block access to my Linux install I guess, but that just wastes space. Damn this sucks. Fudgin hackers have to ruin my SNES emulation fun.

:(

Your metaphor is pretty flawed. A proper comparison would be like an iPod to a Zune, or something like that. The PC is by no means outdated tech, like a CD might be considered. In fact I would say that the PC would be considered the better tech in that metaphor.

And I think it's just as likely for consoles to die when cloud gaming comes along (if that ever actually happens).

Also, your 'couple of years' deadline is unrealistic. Try a decade at least. I still can't ge...

The DRM is going to make the pirating worse. I only have satellite, so my options would be buy a 360 and 1 game, or pirate the game if I wanted to play it.

What an excellent way to make people buy your games rather than steal them....

Are you serious? You, nor anyone else here knows why consoles are shorted. For all you know it could be because there aren't enough people, but your gut reaction is to start slamming an axe down?

I don't understand why anyone would back MS' aggressive strategies. So far their biggest accomplishments have been starting the next gen too soon and falling on their faces with RROD because of it, and buying out exclusives and DLC instead of creating any first party studios of their own...

What?

Please explain how not having PS3's available when they would sell like hot cakes is part of any supply/demand strategy.

The price of the PS3 is fixed. Holding them back does absolutely nothing to benefit Sony since the price will never go up despite the quantities available.

Really? Bioshock 2 was all rinse and repeat in my opinion.

Capture Little Sister, follow her to 2 spots, save/kill her. Then they threw in a Big Sister to mix it up like 3 times. That was all the game was until the last hour.

I found Heavy Rain to be a much better experience. A way better story with more than just one interesting character, and it had a lot more suspense. It also definitely has real "choices" gameplay where Bioshock is just black and white....

Really? I thought it added a LOT of tension to some of the scenes. Any of the car scenes come to mind.

I just got Eye of Judgment and so far its pretty cool. I think the failure was in game support rather than the peripheral itself. If they had more games like that it would have been a bigger success, but at the same time I think its hard to sell games for the PS eye since most people don't own one.

I think you're right about Move though. It's part of the reason I got the PS eye camera.

Flow and Folklore are 2 more.

Also, Heavy Rain.

Despite the fact that I'm definitely buying Move, I find it incredibly ironic that the guy at the end of the video is clearly drawing Mario.
