I think that has a lot of potential to make people physically ill.
He's talking about using a lag switch to purposely screw the game up and cheat. It doesn't necessarily lag the game, but it effects what other people see of the person who is cheating.
It happened in MGO as well. People would lag switch to leave their body behind somewhere and walk around the level invisible. It sucked, and ruined the tournament matches.
I haven't played MAG yet, but where there are people playing online their are also losers that can only win by che...
Yeah the same thing happened to me. I think that was more about the poor game design though. You had to fire A LOT of bullets at the enemies and it was just a constant onslaught. With pacing I think the Guncon could have been utilized better. I never played a Guncon game that utilized the analog stick, for example. If I could take a break from constantly pulling the trigger to move around and flank people or something, I think it would have alleviated some of the pain.
I'd like to see a GTA where your the police officer. It might have to be a new IP, but that could be pretty cool. I mean being a police officer doesn't mean you HAVE to be good. It could be split paths, and have REAL moral choices, not the empty/false ones from GTA4.
Basically, I want The Shield as a video game.
I haven't seen a good, open world "be the cop" game since Urban Chaos on the PS1.
Were you trying to be negative or positive with that comment?
Oh noes! Sony developers fix their games when people find glitches! WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO?!?!
The auto aim, the constant lag, and the stupid pick up a decent weapon gameplay killed it for me. I would have played it a lot more if the weapons weren't so unbalanced that I'd die 6 times before finally getting to an AK or M16.
Also the lag is infuriating. I'd run over someone 6 times, watching him bounce off my hood but they'd just warp to where they're really standing and continue to jog away. You should only implement a whole map in multiplayer if the network code can actual...
Your comment makes me feel like you were brainwashed. You keep repeating hater over and over while calling the game a masterpiece despite the fact that you haven't played it yet.
I don't think those people's opinions are invalid. I personally didn't like the first Bioshock that much because it was way over-hyped. The shooting mechanics weren't that great in the first one (which I'm fairly certain was a design choice to make your powers mandatory) so I can see why no one understa...
What?! Farscape was awesome! It had some awesome special effects for its time (at least that's how I remember it) and MUPPETS! Come on now, muppet aliens should automatically make it an 8/10 is anyone's book.
or even games that could use it.
Have you ever seen Farscape? They explain the same "universal language" problem by inserting a translator chip into everyone (I think they were nanomachines or something similar). I thought that was a pretty cool way to explain that away.
I haven't played ME2, but if they never explained why everyone speaks english, I think that would annoy me too. It's a pretty minor point overall, but I'd start wondering if humans were supposed to be the superior race or something (wh...
I don't understand. Isn't that an argument against the 360? If you always count PC games, I feel like that's saying, "look at all the games you could have purchased on one platform if Microsoft had just released a controller peripheral instead of an actual console".
I just think its odd that people say "Microsoft exclusive" like its a plus for xbox 360 owners, when really it just means I don't have to buy a 360...
Totally incoherent, idiotic and unbelievable plot
Character selection that had no effect on the game
Characters who talked like they were on fast forward
Gun degradation every 30 seconds
Completely stupid console save system
Driving was boring and took forever
0% friendly characters (not counting the like 3 animals)
^ EVERYONE wanted you dead for no apparent reason
Malaria
I was often shot by people who weren't even pointing their guns at ...
The PC really just ends up competing against the 360. MS can either choose to make more money on a game and release it on both of there platforms, or they can try and increase the value of the 360 by releasing a game as an actual exclusive.
They pulled the PC version of Alan Wake at least partly for this reason. The truth is that the PC is still relevant because I can buy one instead of a 360 in many cases, and with added perks. Hell, I can buy a 360 controller to plug into it t...
I'm not sure how they can't be serious about it. They spent lots of money developing both technologies. I wouldn't worry about software. There are definitely games being developed for the tech, especially MS.
You know they're chucking money at developers to make games for Natal. They probably have the most money invested and are going to try there hardest to make sure it doesn't fail. I personally don't think its going to work out, but I've only seen one of their games.
...
But going by your expectations that Natal is the second coming, wouldn't Natal be 10,000 times as awesome as the other motion controllers, and therefore use 10,000 times more power?
I don't really think this changes anything. Natal will be to the 360 what sixaxis is to the PS3. Used well on a few titles (and a few crappy implementations on early games), but overall after the first 6 months almost nobody will use it.

Trophy Unlocked.
I don't understand why people care.
Really, you should be hoping it at least matches the quality of the first Halo. Just because it sells the most, doesn't mean its the best game ever. It's going to sell millions regardless, just because of it's name and the amount of money that's going to be spent on marketing.
Those aren't smart ways to use natal. Any voice commands like that could use a regular microphone. The fudgin PS2 did it with Socom and manhunt. Besides, voice commands are mostly software. You don't need a ~$100 piece of equipment for them.
And you know whats worse than talking through a mic to a game in an empty room? Yelling at a game into a microphone/camera from across an empty room.
It's only true if you saw it on a 3D TV.
I don't know why, but I never thought Splinter Cell was an Xbox series at all. I remember being able to buy them on the PS2, so I'm not sure where the brand identity comes from (I wasn't that into Splinter Cell back then to be honest, or have any interest in the Xbox).
Either way MS should really just have made this an Xbox 360 exclusive to solidify that brand identity. It really could be their MGS since its an established franchise. However, Ubisoft is a third party developer. ...
