Only 10 million consoles were sold in Japan between Sony and Microsoft. I believe 9 million were for PS3s. This was over the past 8 years.
In such a small market compared to North America, who cares? Microsoft sold 17.3 million more consoles than Sony did in North America this generation. That is 17,300,000 more consoles. That is more than have sold in Japan between the two of them. That is the market they care most about, rightfully so.

When multiplayer is a huge aspect of console choice for a lot of people, it is the spot I would definitely want to excel at.
People in India have to pay for game consoles with a payment plan as if they were purchasing a car. Playstation and Xbox included.
