Brilliant move:
1. It has worked so well for Apple
2. People have been waiting 8 years
3. Everyone is expecting the reveal
4. Telling everyone they can pick it up next week will flood all social media and take over the news of the world for all of E3.
5. I can play it all summer.
GG Microsoft
I take any news site serious that spells news "newz"
42M to 25M in North America is the only sign you need to see that Sony is in no way doing "great"
Thanks for that first YouTube video that was hilarious.
Also that commented marked as spam made a good point, most of the new stuff is already on the 360 even in a less-developed minor feature.
Sonovabitch...I never thought Id like anyone on n4g, but then you do something like this...bravo.
This is a garbage article. Microsoft and Major Nelson the entire time talked about how excited they were to see what they were showing, that things looked great, and congratulated them.
Mark my words - Microsoft will look like a friendly competitor as if they aren't really competing and it will only increase brand likeness.
Also to comment on the actual point, they didn't show the hardware for the reveal of the console, that isn't false. That wor...
You know I can control my Xbox 360 with my phone already right? Like literally.
Unfortunately this play is sony fanboy central so this honest opinion will be "disagreed" with.
So surprising this came from playstation fanboy site.
I don't disagree with that although I do love taking the game at my own pace in the assassination situations.
I feel like they could have focused on instead doing it co-operative. I mean they are great at offering plenty of options to kill targets, co-op would open that door even more.
It could even lead to a great teacher and student storyline training his successor.
Either way I am excited to see a new Hitman so I am not complaining.
Grand threat? What is more epic than having to work together to kill Dragons?
"You say they can, and yes they could take away the used game industry, but in the end it will kill many developers because people aren't going to pay full price for most of these shit games that come out."
So what you are saying is the quality of titles will have to go up, because people won't buy shitty titles for full price?
...please keep telling me why this is so bad again.
Anyone can sell games, not everyone can make them.
So unless Gamestop cuts publishers in on re-sales, then they have full right to thwart the used game market.
Plus developers won't be forced to add elements to force people to keep their title i.e. unneeded multiplayer, online passes, et cetera.
Game quality will rise and it will help keep the price of games at $60 or lower to $50 possibly.
I side with the people who ne...
Go Crytek. Used game sales/Gamestop are cancerous to the game industry.
Totally blown out of proportion.
Monetizing Xbox Live = Advertising,Apps(Hulu/Netflix) , Exclusive DLC/XBLA games, et cetera.
A subscription fee is not "monetizing Xbox Live" that fee is already implied.
Yeah I really hope that Rockstar takes the third person shooting from this title.
I always felt like GTA needed a better shooting system than a lock-on, but without it you could barely aim. I think Max Payne could help fix that.
I approve of that comment.
I'm not saying it's right, but this did get ported onto the PS3 way afterwards after it was initially an Xbox series. Am I wrong?
Still underwraps, I think the success of the XBLA game will determine how much Microsoft will support it.
If it seems like this is going to be a MAJOR HIT, Microsoft will easily make it free and use it as a way to get people to buy their console because this experience is "Only on Xbox".
If it is P2P I don't see it being more than an extra $5-$10 especially with Xbox Live Gold.
I even like how they sprinkled in some NPC gameplay and allow you to play in the world as if it is the entire game, i.e. loot, leveling, et cetera.
95% of gaming news site are glorified blogs and people who WANT to be in the gaming media.
This is only a big deal to 5% of sites, other people are just gamers who want to be taken seriously.
