@2pacalypsenow - The very first PS4 game runs at 1080/60 - Resogun.
Yep, i'm keeping my expectations in check and really just hoping for a 60fps upgrade over vanilla PS4 releases - that would do me nicely (a bit more pretty stuff too if they can but frame rate first Sony...if your listening) After all, Sony haven't once said they want Neo to output games at a native 4k. Media - yes, games - i expect not.
In all honesty i think most of the people going on about Neo's 4k gaming ability are XB or PC fanboys trying to create higher ...
No, Nintendo just cater to the Japanese market more than they do ours. No biggy.
Nice try Stealth Troll - no click from me.
I don't think its the end of the world asking for a game to be complete before release.
Id be very surprised if there were no games in development for a console that releases in less than 18 months - this aint news.
I was thinking about upgrading to a Samsung KU6000 but not if HDR can only be implemented in Movie mode, my LG suffers from unplayable levels of input lag unless in Game mode. Good article.
Not sure i agree with choice of GPU, an RX480 or GTX1060 would fit in that budget. CPU is debatable too.
I don't think now is the best time for a cheap build anyway, id wait a few months (potentially) to see what Zen or Cannonlake bring to the table.
I couldn't care less if this came to console or not. I loved Doom & Quake back in the day but have always disliked id/Bethesda's MP stuff. I really enjoyed the latest Doom campaign and was hoping the MP would grow on me - it didn't.
Whilst later versions are technically more advanced, for me you cannot beat the original Mario Kart on SNES. By far the most playable racer of its day.
@decrypt
...and you wonder why you have no friends. Poor lonely Troll.
That's probably the most honest and straight forward MS exec interview in recorded history :) Good article.
Nobody cares what bitter PC elitists think - no click from me.
So many gamer's think buying a domain name and writing a heavily opinionated article with no real substance qualifies as journalism - i suspect many just like the sound of their own voice and the rest are after an E3 ticket.
I wouldnt trust any article about Sony's financials that forgets to mention its banking/insurance services, poor "journalism".
Interesting read as long as you remember the Neo specs are complete speculation and comparing Console to PC is fundamentally flawed anyway. Console API's, RAM Architecture (hUMA etc), compute capabilities and Dev optimisation are impossible to accurately emulate by simply emending clock speeds.
Not a bad read. Its possible GloFo's shrink to 14nm will allow for beefier CPUs in the next gen of console APU, not that i think Cerney's decision to go GPU heavy was wrong - PS4 is a great console.
Zelda - Ocarina of time.
EDIT: For its era The Secret of Mana deserves a mention.
That Goron has people legs!
I believe the difference in power is exactly the same as it always has been between XB1 and PS4 as the extra power of XB1S is used to display HDR content, or so i read in a DF interview with an MS exec - really good read actually.
