I pick up my samsung ks7000 tomorrow in readiness for pro time too - enjoy my friend :)
Personally im really excited for HDR gaming. It kinda sounds like this article was written by a PC gamer jealous of consoles getting HDR. Just my opinion.
Even games that target 60fps are getting hate from the fanboys now. Jealous much ladies?
At least this decision won't effect all PC gamers - those PCMR lot are quite used to only playing with themselves...you'll go blind you know! :D
Think its just BF1 for me next month, got a PS4P and a Sammy KS7000 to pay for! :D
I think running with babies is OK...but never run with scissors.
@senor
Who told you a PS4P will become faulty after a year?
I'm pretty sure Sony have already shown Deus Ex running on PS4P dude.
I was the first pre-order at my local Game so they should have one for me on release...then again i pre-ordered my PS4 early too...5 months later I get handed a copy of Killzone at the till...
"And that's not computer graphics you see above — that's the game itself"...eh? Do you mean the image above isn't pre-rendered?
Game looks great btw!
I'm hoping they at least apply a HDR patch, that would benefit the entire PS4 community.
I'd prefer not to see any more trailers, myself. They'd already sold me on this game after seeing the first footage, day one buy for me. I'd now prefer to see the rest while actually playing it.
It's the same for movie trailers, I have to turn them off half way through nowadays. They regularly show spoilers...
@aenea
People tend to "forget" about the compute capabilities of PS4. Dosnt it have 8 ACE engines? Which is similar to high end AMD cards.
I was under the impression some games do run at a native 4k...which kinda means it is a 4k device. I understand reading isnt for everyone.
PC gamers dont do name calling? Never read the comments on wccftech have you - educate yourself before sharing.
OMG, did i just totally agree with Pachter on something?...If anybody needs me i'll be self harming in the basement.
The Troll who wrote this article knows that HDR patches will be coming just like everybody else does. No click from me you muppet.
Apparently the Panasonic DX750 range are an excellent buy for gamers (Richer sounds now have the 50" for £899). I know it dosn't have a proper 10bit panel but it uses 8bit with FRC which by all accounts simulates 10bit colour very well - low lag too. DF recommend it in one of their articles.
No mention of HDR+ or the various types of upscaling being used which can provide very different results.
Not for all of us, personally i cant stand offset sticks.
I have enjoyed most Call of Duty's but the wall running/boost jumping/sliding mechanics have become tiresome - just my opinion.
Bummer dude but gotta keep the Mrs happy, sex on-tap beats HDR any day :)
@Selech
Put 10bit into a Torrent search, anything you find will obviously be encoded but may still retain the HDR metadata...not that i would of course! The spec says its in-built media player can decode h265 but you never know.
