What's hilarious is that by Microsoft making Kinect standard, any camera function in multiplatform games will probably just support PS Eye as well. Sony doesn't even have to include it to get most of the dev support benefits with MS shoving it down everyone's throat.
Yep. Just waiting on a significant price drop for the Wii U. Such a rip off at $300/349. Honestly those hardware specs could have been released in 2008 at the same damned price. Compared to the PS4's modern tech at $399 it's just insulting.
That's if you actually have interest in the games Nintendo produces. For $300, few games, and hardware that's about the specs/price a new console could have been in 2008, I sure don't.
There's going to be a decent amount of PS4/Xbox1 only games and it just makes sense to get a PS4 to accompany my PC imo. Console only plus Sony's quality 1st party is a must.
Might as well ignore anything about this one because I'm not gonna play it anywhere near release.
I guess you're entitled to you opinion on what makes for a good game (even though the platform bias is very blatant). But I'll just say I'm going to be buying multiplats on the more powerful system and the one where I actually own the copy of the game I purchase (not a license tied to my XBL account). And give the new Dualshock4 a chance... analog sticks and triggers are supposed to be vastly improved.
Charging $500 for inferior hardware is the big killer imo. They would probably get away with all of these restrictions launching at $300.
Their disdain for PC gamers just irks me. If Windows and DirectX didn't have a lock down on computer gaming we would flock to Linux.
If anything could do it Xbox1 and Windows8 may be the beginning of the end for Microsoft.
I'm not sure why you're praising the machine. Compared to the direct competition you have significantly weaker hardware selling for $100 more. Even if the bad policy and restrictions went away tomorrow it is still lacking. Only thing they have going for them is the games they purchased exclusivity for.
Don't forget Xbox One still has a giant power brick while Ps4 doesnt
I'm going to own both (eventually) and I fully intend to buy every multiplat on PS4 regardless of what MS says from here. You're probably still only going to own a license to the game on Xbox One regardless of what used game policy they change and PS4 is more powerful anyways. It's really a no brainer.
It's like a group of gamers sat around and designed their dream console. There's seriously been no fault aside from now paying for online play (which I have PS+ anyways because it's worth it for content alone).
We're long past the point that this should be an issue. 32" TVs are under $200. With a $400 new console it's not worth supporting the few SD holdouts. Definitely good for developers to not have to support 480i resolutions like they are with current games. I imagine that limits the HUD and menus quite a bit.
Yeah that's really confusing. Those have all been confirmed right? Planetside 2 would be an epic launch title to grab the XBL shooter crowd.
"Exclusive experiences" makes it sound like BS for skins and junk in multiplats. And yet since PS4 is more powerful and you actually own your games on it, guess where I'll buy every single multiplat?
$399 for a more powerful system that you actually own the games on. It's over.
I'm just worried it's going to have a power brick now. There's no way they're cramming all that and a PSU into that small sleek box. Not having the giant ugly power brick was always a nice design advantage for PS3 over 360 imo.
Yeah this game looks freaking awesome. But honestly just having the Tom Clancy name attached actually makes it less appealing imo.
Honestly the easier it is to do streaming content the worse it gets. Having a decent barrier to entry weeds out a lot of the garbage that would flood in otherwise. The Playstation Share button and stuff like this on XBL will just be a disaster. As long as it's something I can easily ignore then whatever.
Yeah this is a must have. Was a release date timeframe announced?
I deeply regret not clicking checkout the other night...
