Consoles cost thousands of US dollars, and eventually Nintendo just straight up left the market. Isolationism doesn't work. Period.
Don't get me wrong there are plenty of trade deals that we need to renegotiate, but tariffs are anti-consumer and only succeed in stifling growth and innovation.
I just have to mention - These are all Japanese games. Very interesting that not a SINGLE western studio focuses on stuff like this...
Statistically you are actually quite wrong.
For the first 2 years of its launch the PS4 was stronger than most gaming PC's. Sure it's weaker now, but now the PS4 Pro is out and once again stronger than most PC's.

Personally I love how this article calls the Gamecube a failure for being "powerful." Sure the Gamecube competed with the PS2/XBOX, but the N64 was stronger than the PS1 by quite a bit and ended up doing 50% better than the gamecube.

A lot of people these games seem to think they don't, and developers seem to agree.
The Order wasn't fantastic, and it probably should have been a $40 game. But it sure as hell wasn't a 4/10.
But at the end of the day reviewers are entitled to their opinions, and developers are free to cooperate with whomever they choose (Or choose not to).
Let's see if the PS4 can beat the XBOX Two launching this fall :D

The online Player-Made maps were fantastic, and the setting was excellent.
Sure FC3 had better singleplayer gameplay overall, but it also was WAY newer and benefits from the kinds of expected enhancements any sequel has. Not to mention FC3 destroyed the multiplayer part of the game.
I truly miss the setting.
No other game places you in war-torn Africa with such a somber tone. Only thing missing were child soldiers and actual civilians to make the morality of the game sting harder.
Although I will say some of the Jackal's audio tapes were truly haunting. The one about the kid killing a man for a pair of shoes still gets me...
Bethesda games should only be bought on PC.

I have to play devil's advocate here and say review sites should have seen this coming. Developers are fighting fire with fire.
Did you really expect them to put up with:
-Metacritic including reviews from no-name gaming blogs made on Squarespace in their aggregate scores
-Incredible inconsistencies between reviews
-Clear bias towards established series like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto (Not that I am saying they are bad). Exc...
A lot of people owned multiple consoles last gen.
In fact the Wii wasn't even directly competing with Xbox/PS, and so there was real logic between owning a couple. But things have changed:
-Now many of the Casual Wii fans have moved to smartphones (Or 3DS)
-The XBOX is just a worse PS4 with no exclusives.
I don't think any gen in the (foreseeable) future will overcome the ridiculous numbers we saw last gen.

Ok there's no reason to blame EA here. Any decisions made regarding Mass Effect were made by Bioware, plane and simple. Their track record is proven, so let's wait for reviews before we all start yelling at EA for a game Bioware made. (EA just gave them the money).
However, I will say that I am quite concerned as well. I have seen essentially no gameplay when we only have 2 months until it comes. I really hope they don't pull a Dragon A...
Honestly I am surprised people still buy or even talk about XBOX.
The final nail was put in the coffin at E3 2016 when MS announced XBOX would never get another exclusive.
I'm not afraid to say it: They made a mistake when they put it on XBOX.
Nier: Automata is coming out just fine on PS4. Heck The Last Guardian did in fact come out eventually as well. MS is cancer to gaming.
Meh you can give Demons Souls, Dark Souls 1, and Bloodborne GOTY. But come on Uncharted 4 and BF1 were better games.

My Fury X has 8.6 TF, and it can more or less do 40-60 FPS in 4K depending on the game. Yet you people think 6TF will do 60?!
12TF is what would be required for longterm 4K@60 gaming in a console, and this is likely what the PS5 will have in couple years.
