From a gameplay aspect, for sure. And other games have successfully implemented Dark Souls mechanics in their games with much success. What The Last of Us has done for narrative storytelling in games has yet to be matched, though constantly attempted. The closest attempt was God of War (which was phenomenal).
I’d switch 1 with 2, but overall solid list! So many great games over this last decade.
I mean, we can pretend like The Last of Us didn’t come out this decade, but I’d rather not.

I generally don’t like Microsoft’s style, so I would prefer Sony didn’t take much. I like trophies as a reaction to achievements. But I don’t like the exclusive DLC bullshit that they took from MS. I think it’s a terrible thing.
Main issue I had with their games was the episodic aspect. Happy to get the whole game at once :)
Sony should snatch them up. Plenty of Jak, Sly, and Ratchet games that could be remastered as well. Not to mention new IP

They said it would correspond to the system’s capability, so I’m a bit confused. That being said, I think their naming conventions aren’t that great. I don’t blame people for calling Sony boring or unoriginal with using sequenced numbers, but it hard to confuse Playstation 2 with Playstation 3. Just by looking at those, you can guess one comes after the other without much research.

Whatever happened to the Black Friday poem/story contest? Did I miss the winners? I thought it said it would be out within a week of Black Friday.
Sega Genesis was my first console. I was poor though and had no way of knowing what else was in the gaming world (beside word of mouth), so when a friend showed me some of his jrpgs, I was hooked. Saved up every penny I could to get a PS1 with Breath of Fire 3.
It’s funny because I just started this up last night and thought, “Man, this guy looks ridiculous.” Fashion.

Nah, it just grew up. Those were funny when I was a kid, but they wouldn’t fit in with the new direction.
Raid passes and incubators as well as inventory increases are the main reasons for me. I don’t always drop money in game, but it helps me get a lot more stardust much quicker when I do.
