To be honest, most of the jerks I ran into on OW were less SJW and more MAGA people. I deleted the game because there were too many throwers. Completely frustrating.
I mean, Until Dawn had one enemy type. But who's counting, right? 🤷♂️
While Bloodborne was not my game (nor are any of the Soulsborne games really), I can admit that it is great at what it does. The combat is tight and specific, the ambiance is harrowing, and the setting is masterfully crafted. The only reason I don't care for them is because I like a more solid narrative as opposed to having to piece things together (nothing to due with difficulty), but that in no way makes these games bad.
I started tuning out when they talked about content creators. I just want great story based games. Maybe I'll play some PC exclusive stuff down the line through Stadia. Not a bad opener.
Ummm maybe read my post. A hint of sarcasm at the beginning. God of War is my favorite game of this generation.
What? God of War? No way. How can a game with a 94 meta score beat a 97 meta score rated game? It must not have taken long for that RockStar honeymoon period to wane. Well deserved Santa Monica Studios.
Honestly, my gameboys were only ever Pokemon machines, and while I loved those games, I only cared for one game on them (though I tried others). The Vita was the only handheld console on which I played a slew of games. I think I've always preferred the console experience and Vita was the closest to that (I did love the GoW games on PSP as well). Persona 4 Golden, Uncharted Golden Abyss, KZ Mercenary, Gravity Rush, Ys, Tearaway, Danganronpa, etc. It's too bad it didn't have the fir...
@Caitsith Yeah, it autocorrected. I guess I never talk about PS3 as much anymore xD.
You could say the same thing about Ninja theory though. Heavenly Sword on PS4, Hellblade first to PS4, etc. CDPR would do great under Sony's umbrella, not that I think it's happening, mind you.
Yeah, I figured. I'm not gonna buy the console for a two gen old game. Nothing on it really entices me. The next one maybe, due to all the studio acquisitions. We shall see.
Couldn't agree more. Went to play Jade Empire on my 360 but the console was dead -_-. Would love a sequel or remaster so I can play on my PS4. Loved that game.
I think DS will be a supernatural stealth action game.
The most recent example would be Zampella. Just happened last month. I mean, Titanfall had some moderate success, but Apex is incredibly succeful already.
She's still a protagonist 🤷♂️
When you don't have Ellie on a best female characters list, it invalidates it. She's one of the best, most well written characters in video games. But okay.
Old people always vote. Usually they're ignorant of the times as well. It sucks because it shapes the future for younger generations. Definitely need a lot of younger people involved in the political processes, especially in America.
It's not a jrpg if it isn't Japanese. It may have jrpg style, but it can't be considered one. Man, I hated that game. Thought it was one of the most overrated things I've played.
This seems accurate considering all games journalists have a hard on for Zelda games. They get their own pass. Mario, Zelda, and Rockstar's games are all graded higher than they deserve.
I'll be passing on the One this gen, the only thing slightly tantalizing was Sunset Overdrive, but it wasn't enough to make me get a console. I'll be getting a switch eventually though.
I haven't purchased many Indies in the last few years, so it wouldn't affect me much. But, it would be unfortunate not to have them because there are some amazing gems that come out of the bunch, especially when they aren't held back by publisher constraints. I loved Stardew Valley, for instance.
