30% cut on any major digital store is one reason.
Another interesting tidbit:
"Elsewhere, Atomic Heart charted at No.17, although the game was a Day One title in Game Pass, which may explain why 85% of its sales were on PS5 and PC."
Yeah, it's marketing done right.
So the reasoning behind 'the franchise is largely sitting idly' is no DLCs until a year later. What about Elden Ring then? Same release month, DLC announced recently, no trailer, no date. Is Elden Ring largely sitting idly?
I get it. No one talks about HFW. Plenty of good games went under the radar in the past. HFW isn't the first and won't be the last.
'Ensuring smooth gameplay'
Not on PC, that's for sure.
This one is a very standard Koei Tecmo PC port.
Thanks for keeping us posted. Make sure to tell us in the future if/when you change your mind.
FF15 had no exclusivity and it still took SquareEnix 16 months to release on PC. I take it it's similar to Rockstar releasing PC ports a year or two later for 'optimisation.'
Imagine if Sony bought FromSoftware and kept their games off Xbox—that's what Microsoft did with Bethesda. I'd like to see how Xbox fanboys would react to that.
I agree, however, I doubt a better Xenomorph would make the game fun.
It depends on how much you notice stuttering and your level of patience.
HZD launched broken on PC as well. UE4's real problem is streaming assets, which causes the hiccups (stutters) you see in every UE title.

Enlighten us with the insight of a better fast-paced, tight-gunplay multiplayer FPS.
Microsoft proposed the deal to Nintendo on December 7—Phil tweeted about it. Now it's a legal binding (aka a signed contract). They also signed a contract with Nvidia to bring Xbox games and AKB games (if the deal goes through) to GeForce Now cloud service.
It's basically Microsoft's way of saying, 'Hey, look, we're not holding games to our platform.'
When Xbox SX is better: detailed dissection and analysis of the video to make the difference seem insignificant.
When PS5 is better: ALL HAIL OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR!
It's Joel's Death, playing as his 'killer,' the overall direction of the story, characters flipping switches instead of developing, and the stupid ending that contradicts the entire playthrough.
How did it make sense?
I'm not American, but I oddly got used to it because I always pronounce months, instead of numbers, when I read dates.
