And we can all finally bloody move on.

Microsoft was talking about console sales not net income. They said Xbox consoles have never been profitable as they were always sold at a loss, but that is mitigated by software sales which are very profitable for them. It's hard to believe they're losing money when Xbox division brings in $14-16B a year with less than half the user base of any competing console. PlayStation brings in $20-24B with double the user base and significantly more first-party games.

What disaster? The bastards secured $100M from the deal alone, which covered all the development costs, and the game sold 1M copies at launch. After two years (and launching on PS4) it sold 7M. They were in the green with that one.

You don't need some no names making stuff up or Xbox's PR talk, all you need is looking at data, the numbers that Microsoft no longer likes talking about.

Hi-Fi Rush launched on January 25th this year. It has attracted 2 million players from Game Pass in 6 weeks. Yet, the game didn't debut anywhere on NPD group's (now called Circana) top 20 selling games for the month of January or February despite the raving reviews and strong word of mouth. Only 7% have f...

It's a PS5-exclusive DLC.

Very few give that game its credits.

All publishers have raised their regional prices because Valve increased the regional prices themselves with some countries seeing a ridiculous 482% increase like Argentina and Turkey.

They're making piracy great again.

It's a crappy move from Valve, but restricting accounts from upvoting/rewarding reviews for 30 days... I'm sure those people will survive just fine.

Looks stupid.

More style than substance.

It's entertainment like watching sports. They're not watching games, they're watching personalities that interact with others in a computer-generated world.

The 41-year old suspect attacked his former boss with a fire extinguisher, was apprehended by another employee and handed over to the authorities. He later confessed that he hit him with the intention to kill (time to learn what allegedly means, Sammy Barker). The motive isn't yet clear, however, the employee filed allegations of workplace abuse against his boss in 2020. He was placed in another department, but they worked in the same building.

There was no guarantee t...

In this case, it was the suspect's (employee's) confession.

They're probably hard at work thinking how they could ruin such a simple concept from The Division.

I guess that's fine since it's free-to-play.

If you're on PC and play a lot of older games, you can find plenty of single-player games with multiplayer option, especially from the PS3/Xbox360 era. You know what they all have in common? The multiplayer is always dead. Such wasted efforts.

He said that if Microsoft ever decides to degrade the COD experience on PS, the reputation of the platform would worsen among gamers and online discussions would exacerbate that. It would hurt their brand and in turn their business. If you've been a gamer for a long time and joined discussions on gaming news/forums, you'd recognise what Jim Ryan is saying to be true. We are a finicky bunch to say the least (even his report mentions gamer sensitivity).

Not only the ...

Fair enough. It's not the government, though (they're merely a tool), it's the ruling family. For example, as a journalist, you can openly criticise the government and its shortcomings, but can't utter a single word against MBS or the Saudi family. That'd be considered treason, which is a capital crime punishable by beheading.

As a side note, there's no longer beheadings because there are no skilled executioners left. They shoot now.
