Don't really know why anyone would expect anything different: the Assassin's Creed franchise is built entirely on cliffhangers.
Every single game has relied on cliffhanger endings. Even AC3, the "final act" of the story, gives us a fantastic ending cinematic... only to pull a "LOL NOPE" immediately after to give us a cliffhanger.
I think the idea of alternate history missions... inside of ACs alternate history... is a good one, but not for AC3. There's simply too much of the Revolutionary War proper, and Connor's story itself, that is too noticeably absent form Assassin's Creed 3.
I wasn't sure if they added additional language support or not.
It seems like even that shouldn't take too long, as most games released in NA already have French and Spanish text--at least, some have a ton of language options--and I can speak from personal experience that translating into German, while difficult, is nowhere near so time-consuming as translating from Japanese.
Also: I think Project Diva F is better; it's more well-suited for portab...
@Sanquine90: wouldn't separate memory cards be cheaper?
Of course, I couldn't even be bothered to do that; I just import physical copies instead.
I hadn't even considered SSDs in the next generation.
Now that you mention it, it seems like SSDs would be a must-have. Especially now that we're all about digital content.
EDIT: But I'm pretty sure an SSD would dramatically -increase- the price, not decrease it. Even a small 64GB SSD is considerably more expensive than the 160GB HDDs the current PS3 models use.
Well, it's inevitable. The series, which was originally intended to be a simple trilogy, is just way too convoluted. The fact that it's spread across four different platforms doesn't help anything; and the fact that the two (and only) primary games of the franchise are not playable on any currently-produced console makes it even worse.
If the games ever do see a PSN release... assuming the PS4 has even limited b/c... I would expect to see a great many new gamers f...
Yeah, people have been talking about it for a while.
I'm not sure MHU3 is really going to be the 'killer app' some gamers expect it to be, especially outside of Japan, especially considering that (as I understand it) it's little more than an updated port of a game also available on Wii and 3DS.
Two? Why two? So you can play one while the other is recharging?
(I love my Vita and my 3DS, but both of them have crap battery lives.)
Why do games take so long to come out in the EU?
Is there no unified ratings system in place, or is the ratings system that is in place simply not function? Or do they actually add translations and dubbing to EU releases for France and Germany and whatnot?
I don't really think Sony made any misteps (at the start of the generation). They lost their dominance mostly because they showed up late to the party, and didn't price their hardware competitively.
The launch PS3 is the ultimate gaming device, period.
Sony lost their market due to the Xbox launching early to sweep up a big chunk of the casual tween demographic, and were completely blindsided by the Wii which claimed the child demographic both Sony an...
Because "graphics" are even easier to quantify than they are to define.
Maybe Sony has learned from their mistakes. Maybe not.
What do all of Sony's very best and very worst (gaming) decisions have in common? They all happened -this- generation.
I'm hopeful for the PS4, I am--don't get me wrong here--but it's really hard to have faith in a company that's spent the past few years removing functionality from the PS3 and charging obscene amounts of money for proprietary memory cards while at the same time introdu...
So... analogous to 4 Answer?
4 Answer was great: it took the fairly bad game that was AC4 and turned it into something amazing. It would be fantastic if they could do the same with AC5.
Because if there's anything gamers want from Square Enix, it's more MMOs.
Huh. Maybe Square-Enix really can release an updated port of a ten year old game with a development cycle of less than five years.
You're kidding, right? Half Life 2 was short. Insanely short. The campaign could easily be beaten in 6 or so hours without even trying.
Back in the "good old days," we measured gameplay time in the HUNDREDS of hours.
Not so hot, due to the removal of b/c. If we could say the PS3 included the whole PS1 and PS2 libraries, it would be right at the top.
But judged solely by its own library, it's well below the PS1, PS2, SNES, NDS, etc.
It's not an exaggeration, but it's not a valid statement, either.
Both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are WRPGs.
Western Roleplaying Games and Japanese Roleplaying games are defined by their individual characteristics--the aesthetics of play, the themes and ambience and setting and tone and a whole host of variables. They are -NOT- defined by the country they happened to be developed in.
That doesn't seem likely, considering all of the more-niche Musou games have been localized. I can't imagine there's a bigger market for Dynasty Warriors Gundam or Fist of the North Star than straight up Dynasty Warriors.
...
I'd love Musou a lot more if all of the really cool costumes weren't price-gouged DLC.
First time looking at that title, somehow my eyes failed to notice the first "y."
