I noticed the same thing about as time goes by I've come to realize it really did leave a mark on me like no other game has this year. Batman, Skyrim, Deus Ex were my favorites but not in the same sense as Dark Souls.

Yeh my first thought seeing "amazing developer" was bungie until I read the 2006 part, but then again the 2006 is just a guess it sounds like.
Just imagine what Hollywood could do with all the scenes of digging through inventory and picking up 100's of alchemy ingredients! Oh and who wouldnt love to see what they could do with the special times when our hero returns to town with loot and then struggles to find vendors that have the money to buy his stuff, only to watch him wait 48hrs in place to sell the rest of it! Fantastic movie magic!

No way will we see Half-Life 3 because if we did the world would obviously explode thereafter.
Skyrim was great for sure but I think my goty has to go to Dark Souls or Deus Ex. Loved Dead Space 2, Infamous 2, Batman AC and liked UC3 but Dark Souls and Deus Ex are the ones that really left lasting impressions on me. Dark Souls and Skyrim are really on opposite ends of the spectrum but Skyrim just doesnt match the gameplay satisfaction of Dark Souls in my opinion, and Deus Ex is just my kind of game.

Its kinda pointless going to the trouble of making armor that good because there's an invisible cap on armor rating around 580. Anything above that has no affect apparently. Found out after wasting the time to do it.
I would have rather had 30fps and much less texture pop-in than the unplayable mess it turned out to be. Way too distracting when every time you turn, you catch the textures reloading.
Ha well you can always dual wield shields in Dark Souls...

Yeh in my eyes the graphics are a step up from GTAIV and with the consoles pretty much hitting the graphical peak of their lifecycles I dont think you can expect much better. Rage tried tried to push it and ended up with inexcusable texture pop-in.
Yep I saw that too and love it. There's nothing like taking a bmx up a giant mountain and driving off the highest peak with a parachute on...
I think Batman, Uncharted, Zelda and Skyrim are most likely all contenders for GOTY but Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3? No way.
I liked Bayonetta alright but Vanquish being a sp-only game that was a mere 4-5 hrs long was just insulting for 60 bucks.
