Indeed.

I prefer the PS3 controller's R2 button for my trigger finger.

Does anybody understand why custom soundtracks don't work unless the game is patched or developed to support it? I can't figure out why it wouldn't just work universally with all games. I mean, you're pulling up the XMB and going to music, picking a song, and hitting "play." Why wouldn't that just work automatically, why is it necessary for the game to specifically support that functionality? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Otherwise, the update sounds really awesom...

At ~.5

Why do you say the PS3 is incapable of running Gears of War?

Looks like a regular 360 to me. For playing games on.

Ryan Payton has said numerous times through his various KojiPro Podcasts that the team enjoys playing Halo 3 or Gears of War sometimes on their 360's at the office and at home.

Doesn't mean they have dev kits or that they're developing for the 360, or if they are, that it's MGS4 that they're working on.

40% of PS3 owners don't play games?

Way to pull a number from your ass.

"Any lead for the 360 outside of the US is a victory for them."

Oh yeah? Even if they had an 18 month lead (the PS3 didn't launch in Europe until March of 2007 you know)? Even though they had to cut prices drastically so the 360 costs less than a Wii in some European territories? Is it still a victory?

My thoughts exactly. Looks exactly like Diablo 2, but with new classes and some crazy awesome graphics. It makes me so happy that they kept that same isometric view and graphical style, but brought it in to today's standards. If they had changed its style I wouldn't have been happy at all! Looks good.

Basic exposition can be comprised of many things. It doesn't matter how many words were used, or what was said that may not have had to be said. What's important is that the story is told in a straightforward manner. THAT is basic exposition. It's not told in some flunky flukey flakey hallucinogenic psychadelic completely whacked out off-kilter off-the-wall freak-fest. It's all put out in front of you. Did I say the story was perfect? No I didn't. I said it's easy to understand, and i...

Are you guy kidding me? Or is this place just littered with fanboys who haven't even played the game? Because... seriously... 6 out of 7 of you disagreed with me that the story in MGS4 isn't very difficult to understand? I find that hard to believe.

It's all spelled out in plain freakin' english, people. What's so confusing?

I don't think you need to know a damn thing about the Metal Gear mythos in order to appreciate the story of MGS4. It makes everything painfully obvious and clear, the story is so easy to get it boggled my mind, because I found MGS1 and 2 to be so complex it took me a ton of thinking, analysis, and replaying in order to fully get them. MGS4 was a cakewalk. Just watch, keep your eyes & ears open and the story is a cinch. So these reviewers who say they didn't get it or that if you never...

Did you seriously just say that Gears of War has a better story than Metal Gear Solid?

RAKUGAKI SHOWTIME!!

Love the hell outta that game. I'm totally going to download it from the Japanese PSN store. I have an original Japanese copy for my PSone still, but can't play it anymore due to a lack of JP PS console.

I forgot that game was published by Enix! Classic Treasure gaming goodness.

Because, thankfully, a lot of people realize that this whole Hot Coffee case was a mess of lies and bullsh!t. Nobody ever even saw that clip unless they were doing things with the software they were never supposed to do, and had some hacking skills. I for one would have never in a million years known about it, and neither would 99% of people who bought the game, had the press not blown it to crazy proportions for no freaking reason whatsoever.

Or maybe it's because very few p...

Ummm... Yippee Bog, when it comes to GAMES... Sony is more of a Software company than Microsoft. They own far more game producing studios. Microsoft owns Rare, and some other little ditties here and there, but most of their gaming-software output is just as a publisher paying all the bills for other devs so they can get the exclusive with Microsoft Games Studios embossed on the front.

Whoever disagreed with me, you are clearly living a lie. You've never played Broken Sword. Because if you had, you'd know that it is one of the most brilliant stories with some of the most fascinating characters and most intriguing situations of all 20th century writing.

Of course the Metal Gear Solid series (including 4) is not the best story ever told in a videogame.

That honor goes easily and with room to spare to BROKEN SWORD, for the PC. MGS may be somewhere in the range of second place though.

O wow! If this is true, then I definitely have to go with the PS3 version of the game. Kratos rocks.

Hell yeah! Love this series. Always a good fun time, and always a pinnacle in graphics for the platform it's released on (this applies to the first one at the time of its release, the second at the time of its release, and the PSP one).

I wonder what other games we'll get to see at E3 that they haven't been talking much about!? Like Team ICO's game, maybe? I'm hoping for some more INFAMOUS info, and some WHITE KNIGHT CHRONICLES too.

This review is the EXACT SAME TEXT as the one published yesterday that gave the game a 79/100.

This is not the first review that has been outsourced and pushed around from multiple "reviewers" for this game. Why do we give a damn about generic texts that are bandied about and sourced as a review by multiple sites? The only difference between these recycled reviews is the score attributed. What's the good in any of it? 100% bullcrap, that's what this is.
