Games are good

You're correct.

I, too, personally prefer single-player campaign experiences. They're the types of games I grew up playing. I also grew up playing Mario Kart and Street Fighter against my brother, but the vast majority of my favorite gaming experiences have been single-player or take-turns oriented.

I know I'm in the minority on this one, because the game got a bad rap when it came out and people crap on it all the time, but I absolutely LOVED Enchanted Arms. In fact, it's the only RPG of this generation so far that I've even enjoyed at all. Period. I thought the battle system was great, and the way each character's moves has different patterns and formations of attack range made the game seem very strategic in its battle system. I never got sick of fighting battles in that game. Mo...

"10. No good instruction manuals"

While I agree that a good instruction manual is a great thing, and while I agree that there is a serious lacking of good instruction manuals, there really are some great ones still. Mostly in games published by NIS and Atlus, though. The manual that came with the limited edition of Persona 3 was remarkable!

Resistance 2 is looking hot, indeed.

That said, to those you say it's game of the year... that it'll snatch it from MGS4... well, I loved MGS4, and it's currently my game of the year... and I know R2 will be phenomenal... but have you all ben watching the LittleBigPlanet footage lately? The intro? The graphics? The design tools? I see this game as having a great sense of humor and compelling story mode with brilliant and awe-inspiring levels out of the box and an infinite su...

I like the hiphopgamer, I think he's generally pretty well informed and comes to logical assumptions about things...

That said, and I should also say I haven't yet listened to this episode, I just read the synopsis right here... but all that said, I really don't know why he would think Wii would come in last place this holiday. It will probably come in first place again. Remember, the holiday season is when parents buy stuff for children. That means Wii, as far as I'd ventur...

I don't have the link to back this up, because I'm too busy to go scrounging for it, but I'm relatively certain I read that Bioshock 2 is being developed for a simultaneous release for PS3 and 360 for 2009. Just like I didn't provide a link, though, you didn't provide one to support your guess that Bioshock 2 would be a timed exclusive. If you don't believe that I read this information, you can do a search for yourself. Oh well. Just thought I'd lay the nugget out there.

Happy birthday, old friend. Best summer of my life, I had in the year 2000 thanks to the trusty white square.

Yeeeah.

I have a question about Qore. If I buy the Annual Subscription now, does it give me access to episodes 1-12, or episodes 4-16 ?

There are 36 class variations in this game.

6 badges, you can use 1 badge and reap all of its benefits, or you can use 1 as a primary and another as a secondary, which affords 22 additional options.

This is more class variation than any game I've ever played, I do believe.

You know, Beck had an album a couple years back (I believe it was "The Information") which came with a blank sleeve and nothing printed on it, and a sticker sheet, and you were supposed to buy it then situate the stickers onto the sleeve in such a way as to make your own album cover.

LittleBigPlanet should come with something like that!

Anybody who says "Tales... scored better" should keep their mouths shut. The two games are in distinctly different genres. It's like saying "Halo 3 scored better than Oblivion." (or the other way around, whichever actually scored better) They're both first person perspective games, but in two distinctly different genres with VASTLY different styles of play and presentation.

Not to mention, review scores are really pretty unimportant. Any fan of Disgaea i...

I smell some serious delusion and possible insanity here today.

@ LastPlace-tation 3rd: settle down.
@ Everyone: I'm astonished at the ridiculous fanboy tripe I'm seeing here. Unbelievable. Get a grip, people, seriously.

Wow, LastPlace, you're pretty ignorant, aren't you?

If the PS3 isn't future proof, then what the crap is the 360? It's still cooking with DVD, it doesn't even have a hard drive in every unit, and the machine is still keeping people tethered to their walls without a wireless internet capability (unless you want to spend 100 bucks on an overpriced adaptor that doesn't even work with a large number of wireless access points... but really this reason is the least of it all). The ...

Who the hell cares. The point is, comparing this game to MGS4, or Ocarina of Time, or whatever else it's been compared to as far as development time goes just doesn't make any sense to me. Even if it had the exact same amount of development time, it still makes no sense. There's no point in the comparison. Development time makes no difference at all. I've played games that took 8 years to make, and they sucked. I've played games that took 8 months to make, and loved it. Whatever. I ha...

None of those games were announced nearly as far before their release as Too Human. Just saying. 10 years since a first announcement is a pretty long time.

What? I don't see how you gather that from this article.

That's all well and good. But you must admit that Kotaku can be foolish sometimes. Making fun of people for things that they themselves are obviously guilty of. In my opinion, Brian Crecente is 100% of the problem with Kotaku. They've got a sh!tty editor. It's really that simple.

Kotaku are a bunch of f*cking idiots. Those clowns are so cynical, they have to try to rip apart something whenever they get the chance. They just love this stuff. They love having an opportunity to laugh and point fingers at something/someone. It's too bad their own writers are a bunch of fools that get facts wrong, publish bullsh*t rumors and fakes as though it's actual news, and "mispell" things in their own articles about how something is misspelled. And they do it with thi...
