Who the hell is this clown? Why isn't Morgan or Adam reviewing it?
Heh. Have a bub Snake.
Gee, the same GameDaily that said the Xbox 360 is the greatest system of all time claims that LittleBigPlanet will suck, while not reserving a single slot on the list for any 360 exclusives? Surprise, surprise!
Seriously, when I saw the title of this article, I immediately thought of Banjo Nuts & Bolts, which looks like Rare grasping at straws to me.
"And Callahan, I hate to laugh at you buddy. But you make fun of the articles author just like I did, but then make the same mistake he did. The 360 will be 3 yrs old this November (not 4), and the Ps3 and Wii will be 2. Edit- Ok I see what you meant now. It still sounds wrong to me though."
That's where you're wrong. I did not say the 360 will be 4 years old. I said it will be entering its 4th year. Do the math: November 2005 = start of the first year, November 20...
I don't normally take my time to write things list, but, YankeeSpawn, I absolutely cannot wait until you're banned. Hop to it, moderators, this guy has got to go!
On topic: Fumito can make whatever he wants as far as I'm concerned. I'll play it! This is a young man who's got the potential to be a giant in the industry as he gets older and more experienced.
There was an interview last week where they said it took about 4 years to do Ico (started production for the PSone before moving to PS2), and 4 years to do Shadow of the Colossus, and that this game will take at least that long to finish as well.
Dunno if it's been mentioned already, but, uh... November 2006? Sorry: Xbox 360 was released in November 2005.
I'll tell ya, these "console wars" article writers always get their facts wrong. Last week there was one that claimed something along the lines of "and now that 3 years have passed since the release of the Playstation 3..." well, newsflash to the writer of last week's resident console wars article, the PS3 has not even been out for 2 years yet...
Shame
What I notice about the criticism of MGS4 is that they complain complain COMPLAIN about worthless aspects. They enver complain about the level designs or the intensity of the action or the boss battles or the controls or the graphics. No, because everybody who's ever played a game can easily see that the levels are brilliantly designed, the action is intense, the controls are intuitive and offer a wide breadth of control over Snake, the graphics are among the best ever seen on consoles, and...
If they really do delay the PS3 version just so they can release it simultaneously with the 360 version, I say F*CK THESE CLOWNS I won't buy their sh*t game. FF XII sucked ass anyway.
"developer Silicon Knights – best known for their Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver games..."
Shows what these top notch "journalists" know. Crystal Dynamics made every game bearing the Legacy of Kain title except for the first one, Blood Omen in 1996. The franchise was created by Silicon Knights, indeed, but they didn't have anything to do with any games beyond the first.
No, they're only porting Valve productions onto the PS3 because Valve are ignoramuses and refuse to program for the PS3 despite the fact that it would be more than lucrative for them to get off their lazy asses and learn some tricks with the hardware (there are more than enough developers out there who have gotten their heads around it and they share tools and information with PS3 developers who need it...)
Damn. 199 for the arcade? That puts it at cheaper than a Wii.
It's a damn shame that Nintendo started selling the Wii for so much. It's little more than a GameCube based on the hardware inside the thing, and it can receive a wireless internet signal. That's pretty much all it's got going for it. And they charge 250 for the bad boy. In my opinion, the Wii is totally not worth that price, especially with the 360 arcade, which contains far more powerful hardware, being cheape...
Good. Because I like the look of Diablo 3 a lot. I think it looks like a great game, and I am sick of people complaining about it.
I completely agree. The blokes in their head office need a damn spanking, the arrogant bastard fools. Conceited, holier-than-thou S.O.B.s to boot.
I'm still a little upset with Nintendo for marketing the Wii before launch as a machine with a controller that could do all of this stuff out of the box. I bought one thinking that I'd soon be enjoying games in this fashion.
The WiiMotionPlus is an awesome thing, but I'm disappointed that every controller needs this add-on to have this functionality. I wonder how many games will eventually utilize it considering that every single Wii-mote out there right now will require an a...
15 for Braid seems like a fair price to me. From what I've read about the game (on Jason Rohrer's blog, for example) it's a very deep game with a worthwhile tale to tell and packs in at least a few hours of gameplay. Exactly the same set of qualities applies to Ratchet & Clank Quest For Booty, also at a 15 dollar price point. Seems fair to me.
I'm guessing that Wipeout HD is going to be about 30, though. That's what is being charged for Koei's Fatal Inertia for the PSN,...
All I know is that... it's really time to give Halo a bit of a rest. H2 was basically just Halo with online multiplayer. H3 was basically H2 with more intriguing community features & support. I highly doubt that they'll get away with an H4 that doesn't do something to drastically differentiate it from the others in the series.
Oh, who am I kidding, it's got Halo in the title, it doesn't matter how boring it is, it'll still sell 5 million in the first month. But let it...
Yeah, I think it's safe to say that 2.40 was just the beginning in terms of adding features & functionality to the PS3 and PSN.
Here's what I like about Sony: they seem to really know how to make their inhouse developers happy. You don't see developer's getting upset at Sony and fighting amongst themselves, you don't really seen any controversy with the teams, you don't have guys abandoning ship. It seems like they like to work with each other a lot, and they have a good ...
huh?
