It does NOT use different assets. It's just that the cutscenes are more detailed than the gameplay because they don't have to calculate player inputs and lighting/physics/AI responses to player inputs, leaving everything on board open to just render the pre-defined animation. Of course a pre-defined animation with no player input can contain more detail than interactive scenes.
You're just like Fantasy Star up above in a response to the first comment. NO PRE-RENDERED CUTSCENES, what about that can't you comprehend? Why would you even say that the intro and ending are CGI? It's completely unfounded.

For me, in the last one year, I've gotten the following most uses out of individual games (or features) across all my systems, in order from most use out of the last year to least use (Top 15, by most hours, approximations):

It depends on the time of day, time of week, time of month, time of season, time of year, time time time, scenarios, odds and ends and hoo hah. Different games for different times. I played the hell out of my PS3 with Disgaea 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet, WipeOut HD, PixelJunk Eden, Siren, Resistance 2, Valkyria Chronicles, etc.

If you can't criticize Left 4 Dead for lacking a single player campaign, then you can't criticise other games for lacking co-op. Period.
When I see Crysis in stills, it always looks amazing and I don't think Killzone 2 can touch it in a lot of ways. I disagree with every word you said. I prefer everything about R2.
