You think BioWare should make a Shadow of the Colossus 2?

Microsoft does not own the rights to Mass Effect. EA does.

Microsoft just printed the discs and the packaging, slapped their name on there, shipped it retail, and called it a day. They own none of the property rights. EA has the right to do whatever it wants with Mass Effect, including porting the original to the PS3. It could happen, maybe.

You're not necessarily wrong, but I personally want this game to come to PS3 so I can play it again. I played through the 360 version once and liked it a lot, but didn't go through it as different classes because I was semi-annoyed with the load times, texture pop-ins, etc. and Call of Duty 4 was just coming out, so I shelved it and went to CoD4. Never did get around to Mass Effect again, so if it comes to PS3 and has all its issues ironed out, then I'll support EA and Bioware and purchase ...

Can anybody explain this article to me? The title is "Why the Xbox 360 Will Dominate Globally in 2009." That's not a question, it's a tease for some answers he's about to give. What follows is a list of things that Microsoft SHOULD DO, not things that they are doing. So this has nothing to do with the title of the article, but instead belongs in an article titled "What Xbox 360 Can Do To Dominate Globabally in 2009."

Also, what does this quote even mean?: ...

I played the original King's Field for a long time. That game was a damn labyrinth. It was the first game I ever played where one moment I just thought to myself, "Holy hell, I have no clue where I am." Just got completely lost. Hahaha. But I liked that about it. I enjoyed the game very much UNTIL I hit a game-ending bug. That is there is a guy in the game that is stone-frozen and you need to locate a special item to unfreeze him and continue the story, but I accidentally use...

I agree that Dan was more justified in his responses than John was in his response, but Dan is culpable for a great many bad comments, too. I mean, at least John's comment was a generalization on an entire group of console-owners. Dan had comments that were directed personal attacks on individuals. As a professional, he shouldn't have done that. He then goes on to say "I never said I was professional." Well, buddy, you're getting paid to write your opinion about videogames, are...

Wrong. This is newsworthy. Why? Because I don't visit Ripten, and now I know specifically not to trust them as professional gaming journalists. Putting this on N4G brings forth to the attention of a great many gamers the declining state of quality in gaming journalism. It's newsworthy to display this kind of nonsense, because I think it's good for all of us to realize that the opinionated malarky that these so-called journalists (industry-wide) spew all over the place, day-in and day-out...

Exactly. Like they've done with Insomniac all this time. Everybody calls them a second-party, but when it really comes down to it, they're a third-party, they are an independent company and they can develop for whoever they want. It just so happens that Sony owns the intellectual property rights to the projects they work on, and Sony publishes their games (and I believe helps with production financing as well). But in reality, they're an independent company that Sony supports as a publishe...

I think what Lar was trying to say is that everything about the game screams "Multiplatform" and the only reason it isn't being developed as a multiplatform is because Sony secured exclusivity by helping with the publishing.

Everything said in the comments section over at that Ripten article is a cluster****. I can't even begin to justify the things said by anyone there, fanboys & Ripten writers alike. Dan & John Landis' writings in the comments section are completely littered with personal attacks, its completely unacceptable, and I'd never go to their website again because of it.

The original article isn't anything too severely bad, in my opinion. I think Killzone 2 looks absolutely awes...

I wouldn't say "We have yet to see any such activity."
Every time I go into GameStop there's Killzone 2 posters everywhere, and they ask if you'd like to reserve it. That's got to count for something. Most gamers in the USA seem to get their games from GameStop, so having Killzone 2 posters all over the stores already is evidence of a mounting marketing campaign from Sony, and it'll contribute to some sales, for sure.

Not many games get a full marketing blitz more...

I don't understand the writer's argument as to why GT5 couldn't look like this. He even states it was made specifically to specifications for polygons and textures laid out by Polyphony Digital. Also, it doesn't look leaps and bounds better than GT5P already looks if you actually compare the two. So, why couldn't GT5 look like this?

Sorry... innocent question... what does this do?

6386d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I did.

It was a beautiful, brilliant game. Too bad it was literally impossible to get a game-over, but still.

First one I got was the 360, because I loved Morrowind and was dying to play Oblivion. At the time, it was significantly cheaper to buy a 360 than it was to buy a full PC capable of playing it, so the choice was made for me. 250 hours I put into that game.

I got a Wii later on, when it launched. Because I was caught up in the motion control thing they were touting. I was one of these people that was like "Got my 360, it's got awesome graphics and some good games and it...

Please! I would buy it.

Except for GamesRadar. I fully expect them to give the game its lowest score. I know that Variety, Edge, GameDaily, and Eurogamer are the usual suspects for giving PS3 exclusives the lowest scores that the respective game ever receives, but I think it'll be GamesRadar this time. Regardless of what they actually think of the game, I bet they criticize the hell out of it just to spite all the fanboys who've given them massive hate over their coverage of the game in previews.

Second highest rated game of 2008 and over 1 million sold, with nearly HALF A MILLION levels created and uploaded, and it's a flop? This "LBP = flop!" nonsense has got to disappear.

Hmmm...

I never played the game, but my friend really liked it. I'm excited for KZ2, so maybe I'll try out this one between now and the end of Feb.
