MGS:Rising is to Metal Gear Solid what Dirge of Cerberus is to Final Fantasy 7?
Confirmed multi-plat.

You're joking right? You can't possibly think that Microsoft's show today was a "grand slam"? It was more like a pop-fly. Nintendo and/or Sony will be there to snag it out of the air tomorrow.
Battletoads.
I sure hope so. With the exception of Crackdown 2 and MGS:Raiden (multi-plat?), the Microsoft presentation today was pretty lukewarm. The Milo stuff was cool, but not particularly feasible this generation. The L4D2 announcement is a slap in the face to anyone who purchased L4D1 at $50, especially if you bought the PC version.
I hope Microsoft has more on the way or color me disappointed with today's performance. Thankfully, E3 isn't over.
About friggin' time. The TF2 community spent less than a week without these milestones and complete blew up. This update was severely needed, if anything to shut everyone the hell up.
For not owning an XBOX360, Crackdown is easily one of my favorite games of this generation. I spent almost 9 months on the QA Team for Crackdown at Microsoft Game Studios, and it was easily the best contract that I've ever had the pleasure of working. Despite being overshadowed, Crackdown is a high quality title that any gamer should take a crack at, even if just to say that they did.
Search Ebay, check Craiglist, and scour your local game store's bargain bin. If you haven't ...
IMO, it's far too early to push digital distribution on the gaming market. This dream may not become a reality for decades.
Think of the number of gamers who aren't taking their consoles online and those gamers who are clinging tightly to the idea of physical mediums. People enjoy having disks that they can hold. There's a serious reliance, at least at this point, on tangible data storage (CDs, DVDs, BDs, Memory Cards, USB drives, etc).
Toss in the slow download/u...
Should Blu-ray be Supported on Xbox? That's entirely dependent upon Microsoft's goals.
If Microsoft wants to remain relevant as an HD gaming competitor in coming generations, they're going to have to make the switch to next-gen storage formats. Whether that ends up being BD, pure digital distro, or some new technology has yet to be seen.
However, if Microsoft decides to "pull a Wii" next generation and cater to a much more, for lack of a better word, &quo...

Quit b!tching nintendodpad.com and go play games.
"Out of the 360's library of games, the only game that would make me jealous of being a [non-360] owner would be..."
Battletoads. If Rare made a top notch current-gen Battletoads title that was 360 Exclusive (non-PC) then I would rethink my decision to pass on the Xbox360.
I wonder if MW2 is going to get knocked points in review for not including co-op. :/
He's new. Give him a break. ;)
Agreed. Truer words never spoken.
I agree that Nintendo may no longer have control over the content of NP's reviews, however I still expect Nintendo Power to overrate Nintendo products just as I expect PSM to overrate Sony products and OXM to overrate Microsoft products.
Seferoth75's icon fits him perfectly. Rather than bashing PS3 titles, which he does almost incessantly, he should be talking up all the great Wii titles (which in MY opinion there are MANY great Wii titles, but what do I know? I'm a PS3 fanboy). He's a perfect example of a gamer who would rather QQ and spew negativity than play games.
Enjoy your games, Sef. I'll enjoy mine. PS3 fans will enjoy theirs. 360 fans will enjoy theirs. Multi-plat owners will enjoy them all. There'...
Albeit a little harsh, the same thought had crossed my mind. If NINTENDO POWER is making statements like...
- Doesn't measure up to “big guns” of the genre.
- Predictable story.
- Unimpressive AI.
- Little innovation.
- Lack of destructible environments is a disappointment.
- Level of detail in locales can be inconsistent.
Then I wonder what a non-Nintendo magazine is going to say. That's a little disconcerting. However, best not to j...
Good article. Good read. Good suggestion. But I'd even take it a step further. I'll buy the GOTY edition USED from the bargain bin in 2010.
No need to belittle the original poster.
@Below: After OrganicMachine's latest comment, I reported, disagreed, and de-bubbled him as well. You both should read the "Gamer Zone Posting Guidelines" before making future posts.
@Murder: I don't see "360 AAA Exclusive" to "I won't buy a 360 because I'm unhappy with its exclusives" to be that far of a stretch.
darkride is one of the few people that I bother to follow on this hellhole of a gaming site. He's both honest and realistic.
That said, I agree with JOY that darkride being underwhelmed by MS's show today is not surprising. Ya know why? Because Microsoft's show today WAS underwhelming. The Crackdown 2 announcement brings a smile to anyone who enjoyed the original (which is just about everyone who played it) and the Milo video made me raise an eyebrow. Otherwise, it's just mo...
