Because not all PS3 gamers are PC gamers?
Thankfully they're not making a PS3 port. IMO, they shouldn't have even done a 360 version. The game suffered severely because of it.
In my opinion, comparison between games by the same developer is a fair one.
Had Valve not promised substantial updates to their consumers, I don't think that the nay-sayers would have a leg to stand on. But Valve did say they would be releasing NEW campaigns, characters, and special infected and has never made good on that promise.
There's good reason to be miffed.
Are you sure that you know what YOU are talking about Spoony? I play an awful lot of Left4Dead (nearly 300 hrs played), and I would agree with the sentiment that Valve has "barely" been supporting L4D.
The addition of a time trial mode and two versus campaigns that should have come out of the box is hardly "support".
Especially when compared to Team Fortress 2 (which I have nearly 1000 hrs played).
I'll keep my eye on this game. It has definitely piqued my interest.
I wish I would have known about L4D2 back when I purchased L4D1 back in November 08. That way, I never would have purchased L4D in the first place.
The end result was an obvious attempt not to step on anyone's toes. The author was seeking to plug the PC version of the game while at the same time trying to NOT downplay either of the console versions. If you go by the author's final analysis, sure, they're the same. If you go by what the author said throughout his article, though, there's a slightly different tale.
Quoted from the article...
Price Point:
1. PC
2. PS3/360
Content and Control: ...
Get the definitive "PC" version.
If you don't have a powerful enough PC, then get the "PS3" version.
QFT.
Is this fake? There is no way that the devs at Blizzard are this stupid.
IMO, the Wii version looks more enjoyable than its PS3/360 counterparts.
It's obvious that very few people read the article based on the majority of reactions. This is a legitimate case. SquareEnix has been charging people fees that were NOT outlined in the user agreement.
SE's shadiness, when it concerns Final Fantasy XI, isn't anything new. If you remember back to August of last year, there was a big deal made in Illinois about how SquareEnix was making it very difficult to cancel PlayOnline accounts.
I really think that the plaintif...
You sure were quick to jump on this article. What is there to say now that the article was proven false? This is your ignorance in living color.
I don't really purchase many multiplats at all anymore, and if I do, I just buy them for PC (Bioshock, Mass Effect, Left4Dead, Orange Box, hell... even Viva Pinata).
"They've upheld exclusivity with the original L4D I have no reason to believe otherwise that this will make its way to the PS3 based on past actions."
I agree.
This is a refreshing article.
Don't feed the troll. De-bubble him. Report him. Ignore him. Walk away.
When he creates another mule account, do the same to it.
The Left 4 Dead 2 Boycott is a group of individuals who have pledged to boycott Valve's upcoming release of Left 4 Dead 2 on November 17th, 2009. We have assembled a manifesto outlining the basic concensus of many members of our community. (Note: this manifesto is a new version, which we have recently posted to keep our manifesto in line with the middle ground of our members. This is the correct group for the boycott)

Budget, just ignore this guy. Trolls like this are beyond recovery.
People are angry because they were sold a box of empty promises. Nothing more. Nothing less.
