What you will see here is a majority of the competitive PC teams shunning MW2 entirely and instead opting to continue to play MW1 (or ultimately Bad Company 2).
From a competitive gaming perspective, the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 is DEAD-IN-THE-WATER.
Congratulations! They just turned 10!
"So I can assume with the responses that all of the ps3 exclusives have never and will never have any glitches?"
Not likely, but I've never worked for Sony so I can't comment on their process. I've only worked for Microsoft.
With Left4Dead, Valve made a blatant move toward a more "console-esque" business model. The backlash toward L4D2 is primarily from PC players where they've come to expect Valve to update a product long after its initial release. Where console gamers are concerned, this concept of post-release support is no where near as common as it is in PC gaming, and so console gamers just don't expect it.
The short of why Valve chose to not release L4D2 as free DLC is pretty simpl...
I guess I'm a cynic. Same game, less bloom?
"Well we can all agree on one thing, MS a has $hitty QA team."
I don't think this is fair. I know a good majority of game testers really work their tails off to do a good job. Honestly, if you find an exploit, bug or glitch in most cases it was found by the QA team. It's the developer that ultimately decides whether or not to FIX the issue. If you want to get real technical, you can blame the PRODUCER. They're the ones behind the scenes pulling strings, setting out...
What is there to learn from exactly? People continue to buy their products regardless of a lack of quality and unreliability. If they've learned anything over the years, it's that you can sell anything if you market it well enough.
I don't like Foxgod, but I agree with him here. The author of this article is going out of his way to be hyper-critical. He's blowing minor texture and collision issues entirely out of proportion.
Still, I can GUARANTEE that F3 (and any other Microsoft published title) has shipped with game-breaking glitches (many of which are probably already know by the developer and either ignored/forgotten/triaged or will be fixed with the Day 1 patch).
It's the nature of the b...
Jabs at T10 aside, almost everything to come through Microsoft Game Studios' QA department is bound to be riddled in bugs. It's a side-effect of long hours, little pay, and thankless effort.
Well... not as thankless as working at Nintendo. But then again, those games have already been tested by Japanese in-house. The North American Nintendo QA team is little more than english localization.
I actually really like the layout of the map for competitive play. There are a variety of viable infected setups littered throughout the map. The finale, specifically, is a welcomed change as the survivors are forced to exit their camping location to reactivate the event after the generator loses power (about halfway through the finale). The length of the scenario (two maps) is perfect; rounding in at about 30-45 minutes. This is a significant improvement over the 1hr15 - 1hr45min length of t...
Metacritic is run by one man, Marc Doyle. He ultimately decides which publications to include in the metascore and how much weight each publication gains. There's very little transparency as to how much "weight" each publication has.
I have spoken to Marc via e-mail communication regarding the validity of his website. He seems like a pretty cool guy. Still, I'm weary to put too much faith in a website governed by a single individual especially when the process used ...
I don't believe that there is a demo anymore. I know that there was one about a month before the game's release, however I don't believe that it can be downloaded off of Steam anymore.
I can say this though, you need a pretty decent graphics card to play it. If you don't, any random horde of zombies will cause your framerate to plummet.

Too bad she's playing a "dead" FPS. As far as the competitive scene goes, WaW was dead out of the water. Not a week after WaW's release and all the good players were back to Modern Warfare and the smart ones never bothered with WaW in the first place.
I think that Forza vs Shift is a fair comparison, albeit I agree that Forza 3 blows Shift out of the water. It's certainly a better comparison than Forza3 to GT5. GT5 is in a class all its own.
I didn't buy Heavenly Sword at $60 and I won't buy ODST for $60. If I'm not getting enough game for my dollar, then I'm not buying it.
... and Tina Turner prefers Cocoa Puffs to Rice Krispies. Who gives a flying ****?
Hey, if people are dumb enough to buy it, then there's no reason why MS should stop selling it. More power to them.
I was very excited about Aion long before its release and was certain that it was going to be the next MMO that I got in to. After actually playing it during Closed Beta, not so much.
Aion isn't for me.
Now that I won't be purchasing the PC version of MW2, I guess I'm now $60 richer. Is Borderlands any good? If so, maybe I'll invest my time/money there.
