I don't understand why Microsoft gets credit for a decision that is actually being made by the publisher.

*cough* if this was a Microsoft game you would be defending the MTX like in Gears... We'll see how you react to Destiny Infinite's MTX later this year.

I'm not defending MTX but double standards don't help anyone.

Why do people keep posting these articles about people who have worked for multiple companies in the past few years who just happen to have worked for Naughty Dog at some point in their career like this is some big thing.

The last article people posted was a person who's previous work was for EA who had just happened to work for Naughty Dog at one point in their career.

Most of these articles have been things like artists where the article tries to ma...

I doubt you'll be able to buy them for MSRP, recent Intel chips have had manufacturing shortages. The 9900k still sells over MSRP.

And the big thing is AMD is going to have the full next gen Zen on shelves at the same time, maybe even sooner. And Zen 3 is already advertising greater gains over Zen 2 than Intel is over Coffee Lake.

I don't see this as stopping the bleeding of market share AMD is gaining month after month.

But whats the price? A $1000 chip that's 10% faster than a $350 chip isn't going to help them.

And AMD is releasing Zen 3 (3000 chips are Zen 2) and RDNA 2 later this year, and it's rumored than Zen 3 may be 8 cores per CCX which would make their base line 16 cores.

No, you don't understand. They have agreements in place since before corona to fulfill pre-orders and sell copies to retail. By switching to digital they would be undercutting their retail partners.

Even if they could do that without potential legal repercussion it would be bad business.

2110d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

They have contractual agreements to all the companies who have sold pre-orders on top of the normal physical orders they have already sold to the retailers. They can't just say "suck it" to those retailers "we're going to just sell it digitally". And there would also be problems for Sony who have bought all the disks as well as the extra stuff for collectors editions and things.

The people who say "just release it digitally" don'...

I'm not ignoring power efficiency at all.

This is a very basic comment. It uses more power to run more transistors Or you can run less transistors faster. It's simple physics

but the fact that PS5 clocks are far beyond the clocks of the Xbox series X suggests that Sony are really pushing the limits of the architecture in a console design.

What are you basing that on? xbox is not the "stand...

And the whole graphic violence is ok but showing a boob is bad, is incredibly stupid imho.

Is this a joke?

You've got a service where you have to buy a small selection of games a la carte versus PSNow which gives you access to over 900 games for as little as $5 a month with new games added every month. And if you choose to invest in a PlayStation 4 you get the added benefit of being able to download over 400 games which you can play locally on hardware you own.

iNcRiMiNaTi, it's the same old story xbox folks just want Japanese games so they can use it for fuel in their console war.

They don't like that Nintendo and Sony can say they have better Japanese support so they just want those games on xbox so they can say "that game isn't exclusive" but when it comes to actually putting their money where their mouth is and supporting those game they don't. Why, because they never really cared about playing the g...

Ah, you know that more compute units use more energy and that heat is the byproduct of energy use right?

I.E. If you have 10 energy you can power a larger die or run a smaller die faster and it will create the same 10 units of heat.

Ya know that starts with xbox fans in the west actually buying the games, which still hasn't happened. This entire generation Japanese games on xbox have sold around 15% of PlayStation.

And ya know it might help if Microsoft could sell more than 125,000 consoles in 7 years in Japan.

Things haven't changed though, PS4 still gets the most independent titles of the three consoles.
