They needed to get the rights to publish the game, so it isn't out of the question it costed that much.
Well there is hope with CCP. They have one of the most unique MMO's out there with EVE. With Dust being tied to EVE it will be different.

How is it bad? Probably in the top 10 of my most played PS2 games. Loved the story mode(it had a lot more depth than the other two games) and I spent a ton of hours in the bot mode with my friends.
I enjoyed FF13. Might not be my favorite FF(That goes to X's epic story and characters) but it was in no way a bad game. Might be "bad" for Final Fantasy standards but it is not a bad game.
The next xbox is is already somewhat confirmed to run a version of Windows 8. With Windows 8 releasing sometime in 2012 we could see Microsoft co-launch the new operating system alongside of the next xbox.
Why? What better way to get people to switch to your new operating system then to have millions of units already in the family living room. Allows them to make it more "casual"(something they are already doing) and making it more than just a game console.
It's still something that is wrong with the console market. There is no excuse not to continue a line from console to console. But since it is accepted for the most part it will not change anytime soon.
They already confirmed Diablo 3 will be on consoles.
I typically get 2-4 mb/s download on Steam on a standard cable internet plan. Plus it wouldn't be on launch day since with digital sales you have the option of preloading a week or two ahead of time and the game unlocking on launch day.
I don't think we will see a console that goes digital only for quite sometime. Why? Because it is a different market and it wouldn't work if it was digital only.
For birthdays and holidays parents buy physical copies for their children and not digital coupons. Sure if it was digital only they would adapt, but why change when they dont need to?

Well the issue isn't with not playing "non mainstream" games. The issue I have is with franchises that start out great and "non maintream" like Call of Duty before CoD4 and Assassin's Creed before the yearly recycling and then end up like they are now.
Taking a great franchise and trashing it is just painful for your fans. It's like what Sci-Fi(or should I call them SyFy now?) did with Stargate. They ended SG-1 in a decent way, but then cann...
I've been dabbling in that. Played KOTOR a few weeks ago, Age of Empires Rise of Rome(favorite game as a kid), and Shattered Galaxy. Don't think I would ever go back on buy an old console though now that I have a great PC rig to play everything.

Judging by the late announcement of a PC version it is probably a direct port from the 360. Good for those with low end PC's but bad for any serious PC gamer.
Hopefully they throw in a few extras with the PC version but I highly doubt it.
Agreed. The article might be long for most readers but it was well worth it. Wish more games could be like Dark Souls and more unique rather than the copy/paste jobs we usually get.
I agree. I do love Valve games since recently I jumped into PC gaming and started off with some of their games. I just didn't want to drag on to long about games I like or don't like on the blog post.
Currently I'm enjoying games like Civilization 4, Tropica 4, Shogun, World of Tanks, and Skyrim. Looking forward to End of Nations which is a MMORTS slated to release this year.
Well there is a difference between admitting you are a spy(and hence being found guilty) and admitting you are a spy and then giving up secrets.
TOR is essentially just that. It's just they added on MMO features and called it a MMO. Nothing that bad about it unless you expected a full fledged MMO.
