Wow, this just made me even more excited for UC3. I didn't really like UC2's MP that much since I got bored after a week or so, but so far 3's is shaping up to be awesome.
Doesn't effect me... Already have this game on my list of games I will just wait to pick up a year later when they release an Ultimate Edition with all the DLC+Game for $30..
Put about 100 hours into this.. Loved it, although I hope that with the next game they add a bit more to the story, since 99% of the game is simply going to x place to kill x person.
I am not flipping maps around... 3 maps each for Domination, Sabotage, Aquistion, Escalation, Interdiction. For a total of 15. Then add in Suppression maps and it is 18.
A single player campaign wouldn't make sense since the game is built around 3 PMC's fighting over contracts. A single player mode would be boring quite frankly, and would detract from the good MP.
The MP does has an incentive to play, you level up your character to gain skills(you ...
There are 15 total maps(or 18 with suppression), most of which are large enough that they stay fresh.
Offline mode wouldn't make sense.
Nobody uses headsets? The majority of people use them, and it is probably the best game to play on the ps3 if you want teamwork and to work together with people with Mics(like Socom).
Overpowered Factions? I agree that for a long time Sver was OP, not because of their maps or weapons but because of the st...
Loved this game, played it for 250+ hours and enjoyed it's MP far more than CoD or any other online shooters. The only thing I could see stopping people is that it isn't a "huge" name like CoD/KZ, graphics are simply decent, and at first the controls feel clunky(since there isn't much aim assist).
Only reason I stopped playing is because after 250+ hours(Plat'ed it) I felt like it was time to play other games. Sony has been pushing it with offeres a...
Can people stop posting stuff about GeoHot on here? All GeoHot related stuff should be banned from here, it isn't news, it is just some whiney little kid trying to prolong his 10 seconds of "fame."
Have about 10 bowling alleys within 30 minutes of where I live... But if people are stupid enough not to use the wrist strap then they deserve a huge hole in their $1,000 tv.
I played the hell out of my N64 and I still own it in full working condition. I still see no reason to buy another Nintendo console just to play the same franchises over and over that I played when I was 12.
Much rather have a ps3/xbox and have the choice of skipping the same old rehashed games each year and be able to pick and choose interesting games to play.
Still doesn't interest me, I loved Mario and Zelda when I was a kid...But I don't think I would ever buy a Nintendo console ever again since it would essentially be all of their game geared towards casual/younger audience and then 3rd party games.
Even if it is more powerful than the 360/ps3 it will have to blow them out of the water to be worth the investment since most gamers will just wait another year until Sony/MS comes out with their new consoles that are better...
Largest =/= Good. But if we don't have to spend 5+ minutes running from the spawn to the frontlines then it should turn out to be good. Personally I would much rather Dice keep the maps a manageable size for ground combat and then have the air expanded much larger. I don't care if a map is 5x5 miles when it could be half the size of that and would be plenty.
MS is most likely trying to change their brand name somewhat since they are moving towards casual gamers more than dedicated gamers. I don't see them completely scrapping the xbox name, but I could see them coming up with a new name with the word "box" in it.
Wow, a 3/10? I've been playing the beta since the first day(was in the closed beta) and can say it is far from that as far as gameplay/MP goes. It may not be exactly like past Socoms but I would at least give it a 6/10 as far as an unfinished beta impression goes.
The lag this guy talks about I hardly ever encountered, the only time I did was during the scheduled days when Zipper was testing server loads and were trying to see how many people can connect before they enc...
This isn't to smart for the people who joined the facebook event.. While Sony can't do anything about their protest of the ps store or w/e protest since it is perfectly legal, they can look at who is in the group and then cross reference their IP address/etc. to any illegal things Anon does.
AWESOME, I use my ps3 for facebook and even here late at nights when I don't want to run over to my computer in another house on our property. Chrome should be a nice improvement.
There are so many other games like this...it is a "catapult' genere per say and you can play thousands of free games like this on the pc that are just as good don't don't have cartoony birds flying around.
So basically the MP is the same as Black Ops/MW2(no surprise here).
Same lead characters essentially.
Also states the game will be set in the same locations, but "from a different perspective". LOL so nothing new here either.
Same engine.
Notice something? They aren't even going to try to market it as "a new CoD" with a lot of improvements like they did with Black Ops. First CoD I'll be passing on...
This doesn't look real. But lets forget about that. If this were to happen it would most likely come out on the ps3 too(since you can play a lot of games on your ps3 and psp already, and it would be a psn title.
It would make me want to buy a NGP even more.
Cheap? I would hardly call myself cheap for not wanting to plop down a significant amount of my income just for a computer that I have to continually upgrade. Not everyone can afford a house, car, insurance, college, and gaming all at once.
Very interested in the maps changing like how they explained with the airstrip level. Also like that they kept some of the less serious gameplay in the game with the last screenshot of Drake kicking someone in the balls.
