Evil dead.... He is referring to if they add in bonus missions, cut scenes, quests etc.... Although if they do they will most likely release a patch for PC since they are one of the developers that don't nickel and dime their customers.
I don't care that they are releasing it on the 360 and I doubt anyone else is too. But if they release the 'best' version on the 360 content wise then that will be a slap in the face to their PC fan base who praises the game e...
@pappy
The enhanced edition is the same as the current PC version of the game. When the 2.0 update for the game was released(free Dlc basically for those who already owned it) they added in a lot of features and reworked parts of the game.
No PS3 version, the developers don't have a large enough team or the resources to develop for the PS3. They are entirely a PC dev team and would have to hire someone to either port it or hire more people who have worked on the ps3 before.
The only reason why they are bringing it to the 360 and not the PS3 is that the 360 is very similar to a PC game development wise. However even with this it is taking them quite a long time to do so since initially The Witcher 2 was bu...
Why would the put in 2 gpu's? It would generate twice as much heat, use twice as much power(increasing their psu cost, and make the console much larger.
I think when the next set of consoles are released many will be disappointed. If they release this year their gpu's will not surpass the level of a gtx 580 and be closer to a gtx 560ti due to costs. However if they wait until 2013/14 they will be able to use a much better gpu.
What happened to Elite receiving a lot more content than previously before?
I wouldn't believe the article... I didn't play ME1 and started with ME2. All I did was read a plot summary of 1, and then go through the comic to pick my choices and I had a firm grasp of most that happened in the game.
However if you have the time ME1 is a great game itself, but for those who either can't play it(ps3 users) or are to lazy the above method is sufficient.
Don't think it matters. Anyone who wants the best MLB game will go with MLB The Show anyway.
The article does realize that just because a PC has awesome graphics that it isn't limit anything about the game? Sure a game may have top graphics with High/Ultra settings, but the developers can still easily provide Low/Mid settings accordingly.
Having a platform to program for that is capable of having up to the minute new hardware I would think would be much easier than having to squeeze every inch of a console to be able to run a game properly(im looking at you Skyr...
Nope. Seems like EA has gone into full money sucking mode with ME3. I was going to get it day one, but now I plan on pushing it off until the summer slump. I am very put off at the way the are handling ME3 with all these preorder bonuses, special missions for dlc, etc.
End of Nations will be the next great RTS game.
The article is about people getting into PC gaming. So no they would not always own a mouse/keyboard good enough for PC gaming. Sure you can live with a standard mouse/keyboard but anyone looking to actually game will want one better than that.
As far as monitor sure there are $100 ones. But have you read the reviews and see what they are? All of them are crap and have many disadvantages to them. Therefore buying one in the $150-$240 range is the smart option.
A PC isn't hard to build. Everything is clearly stated where it is to be put and how to do it. Any person who graduated from grade school could figure it out.
Put motherboard in case, put cpu in, put ram in, put gpu in, connect optical drive/hdd, and then plug everything into the power supply.
The hardest part of building a PC is finding the best deals and then managing cables for optimal airflow.
Well this is a good article and all but it doesn't list the full cost of a PC if you are just entering PC gaming.
Doesn't list...
Windows 7 64 bit= $100
Mouse $40-80 for gaming ones
Monitor $150-$240 for a 60hz 1080p monitor. Much more for 120hz/3d/higher resolution ones
Keyboard $40-$100 depending on which one. You'll need one that allows for 3+ keys to be registered at once

False. If that was true then BF3 wouldn't have sold so well on the PC. Skyrim would have bombed. Minecraft and Terraria wouldn't be as popular as they are. Batman AC/AA would have bombed on the PC as well.
The list goes on and on. Ask any PC gamer and they will say that if a developer spends time and puts out a good PC game and not some shoddy port full of bugs then they will fully support that developer. Release a game with crazy DRM methods and an unplayable port...
Well this website just lost a reader. Making up "facts" and just posting for the sake of hits is something that will just piss people off.
If you really think that 90% of PC gamers pirate all of their games then you are clearly misinformed.
Most likely in the 20-50k range at most. The Witcher 2's characters are the best looking in my opinion and only run from 15-20k.
It's it more likely what you said. A tech demo. Sure a million polygons would be nice for a game, but with what the hardware will be it will be stupid for them to actually do this in a released game.
For example The Witcher 2 on a fully maxed out PC currently will run around 15-20k for polygons on a character in game. It has some of the best character model details in any game currently. The PS4 will not exceed a fully decked out PC(580's etc.) when it is released....
Same reason why there aren't fat people in many tv commercials or tv shows. People don't like fat people, they want attractive skinny people.
There is a difference between making a typical game and making a highly marketed MMO that will be highly scrutinized. MMO's need people to buy in month after month, if the game flops then it won't be forgotten easily by the people who were paying the subscription.
It's more likely that since there was a hot topic/large discussion about the 360 version of The Witcher 2(especially on this website). That someone decided to conjure up some hype and rumors to get hits.
