SMH @ the disagrees.
Where's your sense of humour and pride. Y'all want Nintendo to grow up don't you and become the same as MS and Sony?
Ok that might be too drastic. Let's hope they can be both right?
Killer powerful new console like back in the ol N64 days being "the most powerful console on Earth".
And a variety of games which appeal to the hardcore gamers and established brands for the family.
This announcement seems to have got the back up some people who think SMS should fix up the current game first before working on a sequel.
Hopefully and I assume this is the case they will still have people working on the original while the new one is being developed.
If not, then rightly so - GO TO HELL!
Good because they were awesome.
Works fine for me in the UK.
You missed one. The Micheal Ancel game WiLD on PS4.
Who'd have thunk it.
I think it's just too early to be showing off the intricacies of this game right now. I'd love a 45 minute demo like the Phantom Pain one.
Fingers crossed we see more at Gamescom.
How can they want to remove something they don't know will feature anyway?
Well yeh me too but it takes time to get your wings. Apparently the brain thinks the body is being poisoned so the sickness is a defence mechanism. You can then train your body to get used to the effect.
On a commercial level how would you ever present such a thing?
Some interesting comments, thanks for posting. Motion sickness is very subjective though and as pointed out varies quite a bit. I'm not sure in what order the author played these VR games but maybe the sickness was building up until eventually it became too much.
IMO motion sickness came on after about 20 minute in Half Life 2 VR but up until that point I was having a blast.
My opinion is there were too many other big announcements/games showcased so they held off showing it for now until they can do so at a later date with more focus on this game.
I partially agree that a fresh new IP killer app would be beneficial except the problem with VR is convincing people to actually try it first before they write it off. No matter how many proclaim VR to be awesome or the next big thing in gaming doesn't convert to others wanting to rush out and buy it.
There's been enough media/gamers going on about how cool VR is (myself included) but that doesn't necessarily mean mass adoption either. So yeh a killer app would b...
You do realise they might not be the same sets of people.
That's assuming the VR version is a carbon copy of the current 2D version. And I assume the reason for the disagrees.
I can't see why anyone would disagree with having a big named franchise (done right) heading the VR charge.
When looking at potential VR games people need to think outside of the box a bit more in light of how they can be played in VR. These VR experiences shouldn't just mimic what's already available but work on the immersion...
We need Call of Duty VR or <insert popular game name here> to get the masses interested in VR.
New IPs are hard enough to sell as they are in the crowded market, so to add VR on top of that makes it difficult. There's not even one major franchise that is developing a VR version and this wait and see approach is what will keep it niche rather than mainstream.
IMO.
Terrible decision which makes this game feel like it should have been a new IP rather than a R6 game.
Was this just before the security said "no filming please"?
14 second video...
With a magnifying glass yes. The reality is your video probably will do more harm than good for this game due to the poor quality you're presenting. Do you really think this is fair on the developers just because you want to gain a few hits on your website?
Great overview of this weird and wonderful experience although I preferred the even more creepy schoolgirl. Thanks for posting.
Shenmue 3 wanted and adored by many.
PCars 2 - announced just after the first game launched -
You're avin a tin bath mate.
