Either way, the whole idea looks great anyway and I for one will be offering my support with a day one purchase.

I've already gotten my VR wings with DK2 and Gear VR.

@sourtreeDing Apparently you do otherwise you wouldn't have made this comment:

"what is the point of putting a headset on to just see the same thing but on the VR screen from the headset?"

Because it's far from "the same thing". I get it, you're not impressed and won't be until you experience it first hand.

Sorry Eonjay I agree with you partially about being "in the game" but that video link you posted just looks like a blurry POS and won't win any awards for selling VR.

Your opinion personifies the general sentiment of someone who hasn't put on a VR headset.

This video and the one posted by Microsoft yesterday doesn't convey the scale of the screen size very well if at all. As a viewer you have to imagine the seats in the movie theatre are to scale which means the screen you're looking at appears to be HUGE.

Without wearing a headset these videos don't really sell VR very well because they can't show the ...

Effectively this is the PS Vita game until you reach Chapter 8 I think then it's new "Kiwami" content.

No it's well easy to play just kill them Oni with or without online buddies.

Not hilarious imo but very clever how it worked out if you read the description. Mad props.

Impressive: more people should play this underrated game.

You're making an assumption that this is the only room available. Sure it's what they showed today but might not be the only choice when it's fully realized next year. The Oculus Cinema app for Gear VR as an example has, Movie theatre, Moon surface, Home Cinema and Void. For all you know they could introduce specific themed rooms to suit the game you are playing.

Gear VR already has this such as Dreamworks Theatre and Insurgency Demo.

Either way,...

This question pops up a lot but the reality is what other medium gives you a record of a shared experience which you can discuss with others for years to come?

Ask a number of people what they were watching on TV/reading/doing a few weeks ago and they will possibly be hard pushed to remember the exact details. Whereas gamers have great memories of the experiences they've devoted much time to. We all remember the tough levels, excruciating boss fights and challenges of ga...

Duly noted.

Is this really news? I would class many gaming sites as extensions of being fan sites rather than fully fledged professional media outlets no matter how well presented they are which means staff don't have to follow strict protocols when addressing members of the public or anything else.

Many websites don't even have a proper editor-in-chief to toe the line for the publication so you get skewed and non-uniform opinions. It's like the pro Conservative The Sun dail...

How many people have cinema screens in their homes?

I have tried the Gear VR Oculus Cinema app and it's brilliant regardless of the lower quality. You can get the movie experience in the comfort of your own home.

This looks like allowing people to stream to a giant TV screen which is great if you don't own one in real life.

I can't wait for them to show some more gameplay. I think everyone is in unison over this.

I disagree with the author but I can understand why he thinks this way.

Let me enlighten you.

There's something rather special being able to watch movies or play games on a massive cinema screen (in 2D) using a VR headset. It's not all about making from the ground up VR experiences as there will be plenty of those.

As an extra app this is a nice addition and not a replacement.

The Order 1886 itself would be great as a VR experience for Morpheus.

3915d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Excellent and another reason to jump in to VR. With Morpheus, Gear VR, Vive and Rift, VR has a promising future and that's what counts.

Let's leave the what system is better suited fanboy talk at the door shall we and just enjoy it for what it is eh?

Yeh but it's a tad unfair if there's a disconnection which ends the game or if players leave the game midway for whatever reason.
