I've had two freezes since 3.0.
One was in GTAIV (but with that one I quit the game before it had properly booted up... so probably had more to do with that, it never made it back to the XMB, just a black screen) and the other was using the web browser, which just froze the screen when I was trying to use youtube. I'm not sure if they're related to 3.0.
Before 3.0 I had a couple freezes, but only a negligible amount, maybe 2-3. All of them were playing NBA2K9, so I p...
i got jealous of the slim's 120gb HDD to my fat's 40gb HDD and just bought a 320gb HDD to upgrade... muahahahaha.
but seriously, 40gb is not enough HDD space. I had to delete game data for the first time ever yesterday after getting IL 2 Sturmovik, which only needed 530mb.
my point is... 250gb is the way to go with HDD space.
Xbox is a bit of a 'Johnny come lately' in Japan. Sony and Nintendo, both local brands, are well entrenched in the gaming market there with a decent head start on MS brand penetration.
I think a lot of it comes down to local market/brand perceptions. Xbox does extraordinarily well in the US, because they cater for that market well. But in Japan, Xbox doesn't do well because they don't give consumers what Sony and Nintendo do.

i've got a PSP-1000 and thinking its time to upgrade with all these new releases coming.
The Go is $450 (Australian), which is ridiculous because a PS3 is on $49 more... So f---- that. Is a PSP-3000 worth the upgrade? I really like the red one... or should I just save the cash and stick with the 1000?

its not screwing your fanbase to re-release a game. If you've got it already, don't buy the re-release. I for one never played GoW I and II (though I just finished Chains of Olympus on PSP), so I'll get the re-release.
I'm assuming when people got their PS3's they didn't throw their PS2's out the window...
4.5 hours of singleplayer gameplay is not worth a full game's price on any system. From what i've seen it looks to be a decent game but should probably have been 20-30 dollars as DLC instead of a full 2 disc release. BTW... 2 discs with such a small campaign?
