ODST? wtf? nobody seriously thinks that is anywhere near GOTY contention?
The Halo name/rep is the only thing carrying that game. What about Forza 3? Batman AA? Assassin's Creed 2? All way better in terms of what we look for in a GOTY than ODST.
I like this game as much as the next man, i'm only a little into the story though cos I got hooked on improving the villa. I love all the new stuff you can do and the weapon variety- blows the old one away. The hammers are the best weapons!

I couldn't see much of a difference in those screen except 360 facial textures looked better, but the night scene on the synch viewpoint tower looked better on PS3.
But overall, I have it on PS3, and while I love the game, the graphics have failed to impress me. There character models suck and there's alot of pop in. And some cities look better than others. Florence in the game is plain ugly. In some ways AC1 looks better I think.
I've had a 40gig since december 07, I recently upgraded its HDD to 320GB. Haven't had a single issue with it, runs perfect. I've never had freezing issues with games, its probably happened 4 times or so the entire time i've had it. I always thought nothing of it. Happened to my PS2 and PSone sometimes aswell.

Sony TV's aren't bad at all. They're recognised as some of, if not the best. I've got two in my house. Just check cnet, review sites, or anyone who knows anything about that kind of stuff.

they aren't exactly free. my friend got one in this promotion last year. after it the price of the model tv he got dropped by the price of the playstation (which then cost $699). so your still effectively paying for the PS3.
yeah you know why its been so hyped? cos it cost like a bajillion dollars to make, with some ridiculous budget and it essentially is a rehashed engine. I'm not hatin on it, I've said below I like the game, its good fun. But somewhere down the line someone poured too much money into this thing.
on another completely different thought... the spec ops mode is different and does add an entirely new angle to the game. i think alot of posts are overlooking that.
seeing as i never really played the first one much i'm liking it so far, though it seems a little overhyped- but still good. A mate and i finished the first one in 4-5 hours when we rented it, and that was enough to make me not want to buy it. ODST went for 3-4 hours and we all slammed that as an add on... (well i did)

i hope not everything is in 3D. Ie. some games, ala NBA2k games and other sports franchises, lend themselves well to 2D presentation because they're supposed to simulate a TV broadcast...
unless of course TV starts to be broadcast in 3D
