Why do people keep saying this game looks good? Did they not see the in your face texture pop? 50% of this game's textures load to slow for you to see them how they're supposed to be rendered. It's a visual nightmare.
Most console games these days have texture loading issues- the games are getting too good for the hardware's memory to cope.
I'll get it eventually. But right now I've got uncharted 3, Arkham city, deus ex and battlefield 3 all on the go and not much time to play them in
I don't see the fuss. If you buy the game new its not like you pay extra. Inputting a unique code to play online isn't a big deal.
I haven't noticed this problem yet really, but I probably will now its been shown to me. Amazing game though.
Lots of naysayers. I think this will be a generation defining title. To me GTA games are as much about the world they create as the story they tell, and I've never visited a Rockstar created world I didn't enjoy exploring.
I can't wait to get absorbed in this one.
I disagree. I think GTA games, due to their sandbox nature, are what you make of them.
I thought GTAIV was brilliant. I not only loved the story, but the physics, the car driving mechanics etc. all felt right.
It's biggest achievement however, was and still is the totally believable, detailed, and throughly interesting world that Rockstar created. I spent hours and hours just roaming around, catching the subway, and being a tourist in a virtual world not ...
Agreed. God of War III was awesome, and so were the other ones for that matter, but I'd like to see what they can do with a different game style or IP.
Agreed, this game as a huge disappointment and was pretty much broken on PS3 with that texture pop issue. I make it a point to finish games that I buy (and I buy a lot), but I couldn't finish this. It's design and technical flaws are too huge to ignore.
seriously... what are you on about?
hahahaha
I've noticed all these, but haven't had the lag as much as many people complain about. Maybe I've just been lucky with good servers.
I'm getting one, and I'm a PS3 owner.
In the first boss battle I had in Deus Ex, I literally didn't have to shoot the guy, he killed himself somehow with a grenade of something by shooting it straight into a pillar he was standing behind...
I've never played Demon nor Dark Souls, but aren't boss battles in those games supposed to be great?
I was going to say just that, and God of War.
I think we've all figured out by now the campaign is not worth even starting. People are buying this for the multiplayer, pure and simple.
I loved this game on PS2.
It was brilliant.
Gears 3 is the best 360 game ever.
It looks like Uncharted 3 is shaping up to be the best PS3 game ever.
Everyone's a winner!
"FTC Endorsement Guides require that I inform you that Activision flew me out to Palm Springs so that I could play through Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's single-player campaign and also get plenty of hands-on time with the full multiplayer mode."
This has to count for at least 10% to 15% of most reviewer's scores.
