Uncharted is my favourite series this gen, but its definitely not beyond reproach, no game is. I tend to agree with his analysis that this game is in many parts an extended, playable cutscene where the game is entirely linear. I just pre-ordered mine today, and got the Wi-Fi. I see no justification for 3G, especially when in Australia the coverage its patchy anyway, and the carrier is Vodafone who have the worst coverage.
There's free Wi-Fi everywhere these days and I can't see myself gaming on online on-the-go, as you'd just end up quitting in the middle of a game when it's your stop or something.
What I'd like to know is how good is the Vita's web browser?...
There are some great Japanese devs out there making great HD gen games that are selling well. But I look at my 40 game PS3 library on the bookshelf next to me and count 4 of the 40 as developed in Japan, whereas if I still had my PS2 library handily on display it'd be more like 30 of the 50, and PSone would be something like 90%.
I think alot has to do with the development this gen of a 'AAA or bust' cycle, where only huge budget titles do well enough for devs to ...
NFS Porsche Unleashed was freaking awesome.
I barely play MW3 now, only got to level 30 or something, cos the maps suck and the spawing is broken.
It's a mixed bag really. The woefully under appreciated Infamous 2 sold poorly, as well as Resistance 3. Infamous 2 in particular deserved much better sales, I think that was clearly one of the best games of the year. Killzone 3 also failed to sell as well as its predecessor.
But also GT5 springs to mind as a boundless success. 7.3 million copies sold as of September, and it's a franchise that keeps moving copies. Even past GT titles are selling.

I'm miffed about the price of memory sure. 32gb adds another 100 bucks. But I'm sure after 2 weeks with the thing I'll forget about it, and when good games keep rolling in like I hope they do, it'll seem worth it.

Awesome. I've been really back into this game lately since Spec II. It's a blast!
Personally I think this direction is wrong for the franchise. To me it looks just like Vanquish with an MGS skin. I'll reserve judgement until I actually play it but early signs don't impress me.

Problem is I:
a) have not heard a thing about onlive. It only gets a rare mention on the internet and thats it. Vita is everywhere.
b) I, and most hardcore gamers have no desire to play games on a mobile where you have to keep you hands on the screen to control it.
IGN have been saying that Bethesda didn't provide a PS3 copy for them to review. If it's true for them, it must be true for all. It means Bethesda were hiding it, and have released the game, said nothing about it, and waited for the community to notice and hence we have this shit storm.
It really is unforgivable that they would do this. Delay the PS3 version if they must but don't release a broken game and try ignore it.

that won't happen, because sony would be undercutting retailers with the playstation store, which will mean they basically won't support the Vita (like what happened with the Go, many retailers refused to stock it).

Forget nerfing guns, they should make the drone have less impact damage. I'm sick of being in games and some guy hides somewhere and just road kills people by flying the drone into them the whole game. It's so cheap and it's bullshit anyway. The thing touches you at 10kph and your dead.
