Resistance ended up for me being a great single player game. It was the first game in a while where I got really dedicated to the campaign, and finished it only a couple days after launch day.
The multiplayer on the other hand isn't great. Doesn't compare to the likes of COD or Killzone for online shooter fun.
PC v console is a silly debate. I agree, different markets, different players, different needs.
A new engine is not some magic gate to next gen graphics on current gen consoles. It won't be so different from BF:BC2, and that's one of the best multiplayer games on PS3 so quit whining people and if it means that much drop the cash and get a PC that can max it out and play it on that.
Expectations that this game would hit some new graphical height for consoles are way off. It won't be a whole lot different to BF:BC2, which looks fine in my opinion anyway.
Fact is that the only games that end up in that top graphics notch on any console end up being exclusives for either platform.
And what's with all the comparisons of console to PC? Everyone knows good PC's are streaks ahead of 4-5 year old console hardware. A 5 year old PC wo...

It's not really. Bad Company 2's multiplayer was bitchin' though, so I'm not disappointed with more of that from BF3.
Doesn't look a whole lot better than bad company 2 bar for lighting, but that was to be expected. I'll still be picking it up on PS3.
I agree with him. I use my PSP on long haul travel, and when I'm going somewhere that isn't home for a while- like to a beach house over summer. It's good to play games like Syphon Filter, God of War and Metal Gear Solid when I've got some down time at my beach house, or on a plane or something.
I use my iPhone to play angry birds or stair dismount when I've got like 5-10 minutes to wait for a train, or if I'm sitting in the car waiting to pick someone...

Timed exclusive DLC won't bother anyone when they purchase I think, except maybe owners of both consoles who are really on the fence (of which I doubt there are many). But I'd say by now, if you know your getting MW3, you know which console you want it on, and same for BF3.
Most people own one of the consoles as a primary gaming machine, and will buy it for that machine.
It'll also probably sell more on 360 like all the other COD titles. Big deal...
45 minutes to an hour yeah, thats how long it took to install off the discs. its a 20gig game.
For me its all about ease. I got back into PC gaming this year with Shogun 2 after a long break. It's a pain in the ass. It took an hour to install, another 2 hours for steam to update it before it let me play, and now if steam doesn't work for some reason (it's so glitchy with windows 7) i can't play the game, even though i bought the physical copy.
Console, put it in and it works, no hassle.
This isn't a comparison, it's a random collection of screens published on other websites.
