what about gran turismo?
Maps yes, game no. Blops is poorly made, it has major frame rate problems and the hit detection is still fucked.
I love my Vita. It's a great piece of tech. I just can't wait for more games.
Hands on impression is probably more accurate then.
Good score, but that wasn't much of a review...
Can't wait to get mine tomorrow!
Won't stop me picking up Fifa Football for Vita off the PSN store.
The devs need to take some of the flack on this too. Sure Activision is the publisher and money behind the games, but the devs are the ones kicking out the same game with a new skin every year.
Probably for the same reason that Peace Walker looks better on PSP than in the HD collection. It's made for the small screen. This is a remake.
I have little desire to go back and play PS2 games now. I'd like it to be PS3 backward compatible. I have a massive PS3 library of 40 plus games now, many which I need to finish still so that'd be good.
This will be pretty awesome. I'm not much of a COD basher like many seem to be, and I see it for what it is- good online fun.
It'll be great to have that kind of experience on a handheld.
It's struggling in Japan, but I think it'll do better in Western markets. Still, I don't think they've done a good job building hype. My friends, most of whom don't read game sites regularly like I do have absolutely no idea Sony is even releasing another handheld.
If it's going to do well at all, the mass market need to have at least an idea that it exists. It might appeal to hardcore gamers, but to me it seems like outside online communities, there&...
Revealed or speculated upon?
I got mine preordered! Can't wait! I just tried on today at GameStop, it's an amazing machine.
I don't think they score lower, I think they just use the 1-10 scale more accurately than others.
I got Golden Abyss and Unit 13 on Pre-Order for my Vita. Im considering wipeout given its huge feature set, but I've never played a Wipeout game before. Are they really that good?
if you read the article in the link, it notes they'll be going for more of a PS Vita size form factor. If executed right- not too big, not too small it could work, but I can't really imagine using two screens to game.
I'm not sure if I like the sound of tablet controllers or not. I'll reserve final judgement until I see/touch one, but my feeling is they'll be a bit too large and heavy. It seems like we're being pushed towards casual games whether we like it or not.
I thought australians had it bad pay $100 USD more for the wi-fi model, even though the AUD buys 106 US cents.
This is another example of global price gouging. It's not just Sony, its every electronics company.
So within 4 days of its Western launch it sold around 600k, which isn't bad at all but I bet they were expecting more.
I think Vita will pick up steam once it hits the 'console cycle' where there's a steady stream of high quality titles coming out for it. Right now, with all the doomsaying in the media, early adopters like myself are wondering if it will continue to be worth the money.
More systems need to be sold for devs to start paying seri...
