Red Dead was full of bugs- but none of them were so incredibly jarring that they ruined the game. I think we need to all be a lot more forgiving of bugs, they are a part of gaming and always have been. The difference between now and 10 years ago is back then you'd laugh at a glitch and keep playing, now people go psycho on forums blasting developers.
Given that the PS3 is nearing the end of its lifecycle, I think this isn't the 'victory' hackers think it is.
A poorly disguised vibrator- purchase a sex toy without the the taboo.
I never got people who bought the same version of a console to 'upgrade' anyway, seeing as the performance doesn't change. It's a stupid premise for an article anyway.
One thing we console gamers are really missing that makes PC gaming so attractive to me are mods. You can't say the experience is the same there.
Steam is what pisses me off about PC gaming. The amount of times I've tried to play Shogun 2, WHICH I BOUGHT A PHYSICAL COPY OF- and Steam has delayed me for 2 hours for a massive, non-optional update to be installed, or prevented me from playing it entirely if I don't have an Internet connection, which happens frequently enough for this to be an issue living in an old apartment building, has put me off coming back to PC gaming. Steam is used as DRM and its messed up my reunion with P...
Rapelay says hi. Just sayin....
lol
well said. I was bitterly disappointed by Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3 is just meh. The best in the series was Modern Warfare 2 in my opinion. I won't make the mistake of getting Black Ops II without first having played multiplayer to see if it suffers the same issues.
Microsoft is still hugely profitable on the whole and Nintendo have only really had one bad financial year. Sony has had losses since the GFC in 2008, and big losses in the billions.
We all want to see them turn it around, and they can but they need dire structural reform and consolidation.
I love Sony's hardware and games as much as the next guy, I grew up with playstation. But what these articles all fail to recognize is the truth of Sony's financial position- 5 straight years of huge losses, going on a 6th. A company even of their size can't sustain that without doing one of 3 things: a dramatic turn around in fortunes- which looks unlikely in the face of the current tech market and global economy; dramatic downsizing including the sale of assets; or winding up.
I picked up PES 13, first soccer game I've had on console- aside from FIFA on Vita that got me into soccer games. I've been missing out! Loving it.
this is so overblown, if they made no announcement about. redesign and just a bundle we wouldn't be even saying anything like shoot in foot or whatever.
Gilksy fix then trade in to EB.
Skyrim is among the top ten of the generation. Almost a year later I'm still playing the shit out of it. So much to see and do, love it.

the problem isn't lawyers- I'm a lawyer that deals in ip law almost exclusively and I can tell you we don't act unless we're instructed to- blaming lawyers is like shooting the messenger. we just tell you what can be done.
PMC's and proxy wars will soon be doing all the fighting...
yeah def a sequel to Peace Walker- in the trailer Snake's mission was to rescue Paz and Chico- who look like they'd been captured by the CIA.
Hang on... did I miss something? People complained about that trailer? That was freaking cool as. Not only that- it was totally hitman.
Who complains about a trailer? It was cinematic with no gameplay. Keep on truckin' IO!
Nice? I'd rather be playing the game than getting a patch for it!
All the AC games have crappy endings. In fact I'd say most games these days have crappy endings.
