I thought this was an announcement for a new Ace Combat game, not HAWX?

I've been waiting so long for a new Ace Combat game ever since "The Belkan War". Never played "Fires of Liberation" as I don't own a 360 but I heard that while it was ok, it wasn't nearly as good as the PS2 era games (i.e. Shattered Skies, The Unsung War, The Belkan War).

The trailer for this game does look interesting from an action standpoint, but it...

Minnesota Bucks? Really? Too bad whoever wrote this doesn't know jack shit about the NBA.

I feel the writer's pain. My PS3 died in late May and I've just been too irritated to do anything about it for the time being. To be honest, I probably wouldn't have been upset if there were no such thing as effing stupid locked game saves. Whatever could be backed up was backed up to a memory stick and put onto my laptop, but unfortunately, locked saves like KZ2 and SFIV are history. We play games to beat them. Locked game saves are probably one of the dumbest ideas to ever ...

Paying $150 for crap is no different than paying $15 or $1500 for the same thing. Crap is crap. The only way Kinect finds it's way onto my TV stand is if MS decides to give that ish away for free.

As far as the pricing of the device, how the $150 price point is a surprise to anyone is beyond me. It's designed to compete with Move and the Wii which are both priced around $130-$200 depending on what kind of and how many devices you buy.

The controls sucked at launch but Guerilla did a good job of addressing the complaints and finding a good balance. I liked the weighted controls and the fact that everything wasn't COD hair trigger quick but I hated the huge dead zones in the analog sticks. That being said, the weighted controls give the game a slower more tactical feel. I definitely became more fond of the game after the second "high precision" control patch which eliminated the dead zones but kept the weigh...

List needs more Ace Combat.

The game looked like fun at launch and it still looks like a lot of fun. The problem is that it's slated to be released during a time when so many other games will be hitting shelves. What I loved about Fat P. was that it was released during the summer of last year. As we as gamers all know, there's usually a fairly big 2-3 month drought of good games during the summer as big releases are often held back until fall. That's what enabled me IMO to get the most out of both Fat P....

The Motorstorm franchise is so underrated. When I bought my PS3 I bought an 80GB Motorstorm bundle and barely played the original. It wasn't until I found Pacific Rift for $10 brand new at Wal-Mart last summer that I decided to pick it up and convince about seven or eight of my friends to do the same in an attempt to give the franchise another go...and boy am I glad I did. One of the most difficult, grueling racers on the market that will flat out whoop your ass if you don't put in...

And you're an idiot if you think a PSP can interfere with a plane's navigation system. Good grief. The reason for the electronic device ban on planes is very simple. IF...IF something were to happen as a result of interference from a passenger's electronic device, the government and the airlines would have deniability. They could say "well we told them not to use them but someone on the plane didn't listen so it ain't our fault." Communication and navigation...

Yeah well, that's what they said about Blu-Ray too. It's ok, I like being able to put several HD and 3D remastered versions of PS2 classics on one disc.

Even better than what I thought was gonna happen when Sony unveiled their motion controller last year. I figured Extraction would make it to the PS3 but in the form of a PSN download and it probably will eventually, but to have both games on one disc at launch is even better for fans of the franchise.

Be honest. How many of you guys said "lame" when you saw the main character's outfit and the title and then did a complete 180 after the guy drank the potion? This game looks like it has so much potential.

The intro is already infinitely better than Microsoft and Nintendo's entire presentations combined.

5726d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

My biggest gripes with Nintendo's presentation were the "excuses and the reasons". First, the excuses. Sorry but please stop blaming your horribly inaccurate Wiimote on wi-fi interference. You effed up, we get it. Shit happens, roll with it. Accept it and move on by either attempting to fix the problem before proceeding if it's possible (perhaps a quick recalibration of the controls) or take it on the chin, laugh it off and GTFO of there as quickly and politely as you c...

I can tell you one thing for sure. With that horrendous Zelda presentation Nintendo definitely didn't do any better than Microsoft did with Kinect in terms advancing the motion controller segment of the industry. I actually felt bad for the guys on the stage after the initially huge positive response from the audience when the game was first unveiled went right down the crapper.

To be fair, I think it may have been a calibration issue as it looked like the pointer was o...

Nintendo is FAILing. Everyone cheered when Link appeared on the screen but these controls are horribly inaccurate.

Like I said in another thread, the "shift" feature just seems so lame and too easy. And I hope that fool didn't give away the entire plot by announcing to the world that Tanner is in a coma. I just don't see what's wrong with going with a traditional damage meter which requires you to restart if it fills all the way up. Being able to leap from car to car just makes things too easy for today's lazy gamers.

On the plus side, I do like the setting....

I have to agree. It makes perfect sense when you consider that the crew over at Visceral games already has hands on experience with motion controls after the work they did with Extraction. Should be interesting indeed.
