Thank God there are still elderly people in this world who have a little lead left in their pencils. God knows that kid's Grandparents did him a favor by saving him from the overratedness that is Modern Warfare 2. +Bubbles for the Grandparents.
Man, the PC guys weren't fooling around when they said that they'd make MW2 the "Spore" of 2009. w00t to PC gamers for standing their ground and putting a crappy developer and a crappy publisher in their respective places.
KZ2 does not get enough credit. The single player story was forgettable but the MP is like no other. I've played my share of FPSs and I absolutely love the slower, more tactical feel of KZ2. It's a great change of pace when you're looking to switch it up from circle shooters like R2 and Blitzkrieg squad games like Battlefield.
IMO backwards compatibility is only useful during the beginning of a new console's lifespan when it's just getting started and has a small and limited library. Everyone knows that launch titles are baby steps in a console's life and as such the games will generally not be as epic as later titles to come. That being said, it makes sense to be able to play some of your old favorites while you wait for new titles to get off the ground. Three to four years in however...seriously, if you're having...

Should have named it the Playstation GRIP. Then they could have used the tagline "get a GRIP" in their marketing.
As much as I'm on the Sony side of the fence, I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't jealous of you 360 guys on this one. Alan Wake looks like a great game and if the reliability weren't so questionable, I'd definitely consider picking up a 360 to play this game. Max Payne 1 and 2 were great and from the looks of things, it doesn't look like Remedy will disappoint with this one either.
I just hope the game doesn't go all action-adventure on us as Dead Space really filled the void created when Capcom decided that RE5 would be more shooter, less horror. As much as I enjoyed the original RE games, Silent Hill and other similar titles in the past I've never been TOO big a fan of the survival horror genre. Survival horror games were usually rentals for me when I was a kid. Dead Space however, well let's just say that I'd be lying if I said that Dead Space didn't turn me on to...
To me and many others, GTAIV's biggest downfall in the DLC department stems from Rockstar's decision to cut features that were present in San Andreas from the core game, and save them for later to be released in TLaTD and TBoGT. Rockstar claimed that they were attempting to "trim the fat" by removing what they claimed they considered to be "useless content". A lot of people including myself raised their eyebrows at this comment as the progression from III to VC to SA sho...
Not to sound like a broken record but I'm gonna have to agree with much of what's already been said by others. One thing I've always loved about the Gran Turismo series is that you can remap your controller however the hell you want in order to suit your playing style. You can go out and create the stupidest controller setup ever, but hey if it works for you, that's all that matters. I understand that minute differences between games (first person shooters for example) may dictate that a b...
For those who don't feel like reading the link, the list reads:
5. GTA: Episodes From Liberty City (read: DLC)
4. Left For Dead 1.5 (read: DLC sold at full retail)
3. Forza Motorsport 2.5 (read: an incomplete game that Microsoft/Turn 10 plans to use to milk players buy dangling DLC in front of them every month in the form of car packs)
2. Assassins Creed II (read: a game which improves upon its predecessor in almost every way and has been pr...
Knowing IW there will be a fix soon...and by soon I mean sometime next winter.
$15 for a game that came out when Shaq was still with the Lakers? There must be a shortage of milk at Activision HQ.
Awesome. Now you can check out the presentations for all the cool new upcoming PS3 exclusives on your xbox. w00t.
What sucks more than anything else is not the fact that Capcom will be double or triple dipping with SFIV, but that the fanboys are stupid enough to pay for it. 10 new characters is a lot as are the additional Ultra Combos, and on that note, MAYBE I can understand a new release as opposed to DLC in that regard. But what annoys me more than anything else is the revamped online. People were wondering since SFIV's release why SFIV's online lacked some of the features present in SSFIITHDRemix ...
What I find to be most disturbing of all is that while the original xbox had a lifecycle of a mere four years, your typical 360 only has a lifecycle of approximately four months depending on how often and how long you play.
It really depends on what Sony does and does not decide to make exclusvie paid for content. My hope is that the paid for content will essentially be what Qore subscribers currently have access to which I think is more than fair. PSN will remain free to the casual gamer but for the hardcore folks who don't want to be forced into pre-ordering a title at LAMEstop just for a beta code perhaps PSP Premium is the way to go for them. I'm sure more than a handful of Qore subscribers would be more ...
What GTAV needs to do.
Not suck like GTAIV.
Considering Microsoft is incapable of releasing a console that doesn't implode after a year did you really expect their QA team to get the little things right?
Guess all that's left to do during extended flights is join the "Mile High Club".
