Brian Cox was obvious in KZ2 but I didn't know Sean Pertwee did Radec what with his Cobra Commander voice changer. I could definitely tell that it was his voice on the propaganda speakers in multiplayer though. He sounds exactly as he did in the movie Equilibrium with his calm demeanor over the speaker.

I think the dumbest thing of all is that in the second video, the folks who uploaded the clip decided to place a pop-up over the video that reads:

"Don't quit playing MW2. It will be fixed soon. 402 has been getting posts about this on his twitter. Just avoid 10th lvl 70s. Don't go play another game, just enjoy MW2 as best you can."

Seriously, you have to be a complete idiot to continue supporting this game with hacks like this out and about. I do n...

On one hand while I agree that Far Cry 2 was overlooked, it was also a typical Ubisoft effort. Great concept, mediocre execution. The multiplayer is a total letdown IMO. I bought the game when it first came out to keep myself busy while I waited for Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 and while I loved the map editor, I was underwhelmed by the ranked games, balancing issues and the fact that after six months or so, it was very hard to find people playing online compared with other shooters. And f...

Looking at that picture, is it possible for him to be anything but paramount?

Couldn't agree more. I was about to say the same thing. I was all hyped up to pit my Kobe/Gasol combo up against Lebron/Shaq, KG/Pierce and D12/Vinsanity...then they announced it was going to the Wii. FAIL.

I should also add that one thing which I find VERY cool about this game, is the Dead Space style heads up display. If you've watched any gameplay videos you'll notice that the HUD is concentrated at the bottom of your vehicle's rear valance and just under the car. In other words, out of the way and not scattered about so that the majority of the screen remains uncluttered. One thing with fast arcade racers is that you want to be able to see as much of what's going on in front of you as pos...

I don't buy that. I remember when EA owned exclusive rights to Ferrari and Lamborghini and while some of us openly expressed our wishes that one day, the two marques would make their way to GT, others went out of their way to pretend like they didn't care or state that they were indifferent on the issue which IMO was a blatant lie at the time. Sure enough, when Ferrari was announced for Prologue and Lamborghini was spotted in GT PSP, ohhhhh man the flip-flops started pouring in.

Agreed on the sleeper hit. As a PS3 owner I can honestly say that GT5 and ModNation Racers are at the top of my list as far as racers for 2010 are concerned. And with Need for Speed still on a "demo first" basis for me ever since Pro-Street, Criterion taking a break from Burnout to help with the latest NFS and nothing being said about a new Midnight Club for 2010, I may end up picking this one up after all.

I'm expecting a statement from Microsoft that they sold 1.36 million xbox 360s in December any minute now.

I agree that criterion put a lot of effort into the Burnout DLC, I just think that it was horribly overpriced. $67 if you want to own every piece of Burnout DLC. That's more than the cost of the game when it was brand new! If you look at the prices of the DLC, it seems like EA and Criterion tacked on an extra $3 to most of the expansions. Stuff you'd expect to pay $5 for ended up being $8. Stuff that you'd expect to pay $10 for ended up being $13. The worst offender had to be the useles...

Wow. If Kaz were to announce that Porsche were to be included in GT, the same folks proclaiming that "we still have Ruf" would be the first ones to start shouting "haha, we have Porsche now, Forza is t3h sux0rz blah blah". I'm sorry but as a genuine car enthusiast this is a big disappointment. Especially since PD finally managed to nab the rights to include both Ferrari and Lamborghini, two of the other three big marques that were always missing from the series.

Main thing IMO is that while some of the trophies look like they may take a while to achieve, they all look possible provided you're willing to put in a little bit of time. I don't mind a trophy like the 10,000 kills trophy in Resistance 2 or the top 1% trophy in Killzone 2 that requires I put in some effort over an extended period of time. What gets on my nerves are obnoxiously stupid and close to impossible trophies like Bad Company's "earn all in game awards" trophy which requi...

I agree. I have zero complaints with DLC that is developed and released well after the initial release of the game itself as its intention is to extend the life of the game rather than nickel and dime the consumer. A great example of how to do DLC IMO was the Wipeout HD Fury expansion which added a lot of content to an already great game at a very reasonable price. Plus the content was released almost a year after the original game hit the PSN store, not five minutes later as was/is the ca...

I dunno about you folks but when it comes to video games pissing me off, mediocre gameplay, a mediocre story and a mediocre effort do more to get on my nerves than shooting a group of people deemed "off limits" due to some current real world situation. This sounds like a BS excuse from EA if you ask me. Rather than man up and admit that the game wasn't all that great (it wasn't horrible either) from a gameplay standpoint, they chalk up the negative feedback to an imaginary racial ...

Those of us who grew up with GT are used to this by now. I can't remember GT ever coming anywhere close to hitting a projected release date. I don't even bother salivating over the next release anymore as I know I'll just be getting my hopes up. All I do is wait until a trusted source announces "got it" before heading down to the nearest game store to pick up a copy. lol.

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift for $10 remains my biggest current gen bargain to date. And I snagged that one back in June '09 while the game was still selling for a full rip $60. I also managed to snag Dead Space, Warhawk and Mercs2 for uber cheap this past summer. Wal-Mart and Target clearance racks FTMFW.

Is this like "how many years left on the market" or "how many years left once you've turned it on and activated the automatic self-destruct sequence"?

Damn, I was waaaaayyyyy off. I thought they were going to say that you could go and play Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo: ODST while you wait for Reach. Shows how much I know.
